Get the hybrid water cooled edition instead. It's cheaper and runs at a higher clock rate. Runs cooler too since its water cooled. I just picked it up last week.

Would this be wroth buying over this. I live in an area that is extremely hot as in over 100degrees F the entire summer and easily approches 115 degrees. I don't know if itd be worth buying this and then a separate gpu watercooler , and could I get it for the same price. Side note I dont know what pascal is but is it worth me waiting? I have no gpu yet.

Also someone pmd me this 980ti https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Z0UX8TA/ref=ox_sc_act_image_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER and it looks like a better option unless its not worth it

I tried looking for a 980ti Sea Hawk for $449, but nothing came up close to the price. The only thing that was close were used EVGA Hybrid coolers. Those tended to perform a little better than the Sea Hawk. I'm not going to make any purchase advice until I have my hands on the 1070 Sea Hawk, but if you're in need right now and want a quick deal.

or get the older used 980ti hybrid for close to the same price but taxes will make it more expensive depending on where you live

You mean one with a fan installed on the card that connects to the case? Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I was considering on getting this gpu

u/morepandas · 1 pointr/buildapc

Well, its going to be the one that costs the most, and is under $700 lol.

That is usually how pricing works =P

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-CLASSIFIED-Installed-Backplate-06G-P4-4998-KR/dp/B010GK3YYC is the classy if you want pure performance and overclocking.

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Cooling-Graphics-06G-P4-1996-KR/dp/B00Z0UX8TA if you want the watercooling, and a much cooler card.

EDIT: oh yea those don't work on amazon. 980Ti 6GB CLASSIFIED GAMING ACX 2.0+ is the classy, and 980 Ti 6GB HYBRID GAMING is the hybrid.

EVGA 980ti Hybrid 6GB
I have two of these, looking to see if I could get a decent price for one or both.

Ive got the Coolermaster Storm Styker, with my CPU under an H100i (The previous version, not the new one) and two of the [EVGA 980ti Hybrids] (https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Cooling-Graphics-06G-P4-1996-KR/dp/B00Z0UX8TA) and 6 HDs.

I have had my CPU rad on the top as an exaust since I got it, so I figured my options where the two GPU radiators either both as intake on the bottom or one intake on the bottom and one exhaust out the back. I ended up doing the split method to prevent venting too much of the overall heat into the case and limiting it to the secondary card as the intake presuming that under normal gaming/non-sli supported games and lower usage that this would result in less heat being vented into the system.

The case also has two fans on the front blowing against the harddrives and towards the rest of the system. Next motherboard and CPU I am planning on doing custom cables and whatnot... but this CPU and motherboard are pushing 6+ years old... no reason now.

Dude... your rant doesn't really make sense. Yeah - there's 1070s that sell for crazy amounts, but I can easily find other things that are more crazy.

RAAAAGE!!! WHY ARE PEOPLE BUYING A 780 TI FOR $850?!

AAARGGH! 980 Ti for $860!!!

GNASHING TEETH!! 1070 for $825!!!

Plenty of folks have 1070's in stock for near MSRP.

That your friend just dumped $600 on one, well... there's a sucker/person that doesn't do their research born every minute.
