The Roku could not plug directly into the HDMI port due to the recessed area not being long enough to accommodate its length. I had ordered a flexible HDMI plug on Amazon, but it may not have been manufactured to the proper standards, despite it stating that it supported 1080p:

The Roku receives power from its own USB port. I also checked all three HDMI ports with my PS3 and all three successfully displayed 1080p without flickering.
I ordered a simple cable extender from Amazon:

I can't say I fully understand what you are describing but I believe you are trying to say all his HDMI ports are blocked enough so that the Fire Stick won't fit in them.
If this is the case, the easiest and cheapest option is to get an HDMI extension and plug the Fire Stick/Roku/whatever into that.
