Well, the comic was mostly to help guys realize that nice shoes play an important role, and how the opposite gender looks at you. Girls look at guy's shoes just as much as they do at girl's shoes.
If you think about it, most guys wear really shitty shoes that have no sense of style, or wear shoes meant for exercise/work all the time. In this cases, I don't know what girls think about when they see this though, but it is clear that if you wear a nice pair it does attract attention. You can use these opportunities to talk to them.
It was a bit eye-widening when I discovered this, because I don't know about many other guys, but I never bother looking at other people's shoes. Girls definitely do.
I suppose I can give a link to the shoes that have garnered all the attention I've been getting recently. You can get any pair you like, but it does help if the shoes are unique or a brand that isn't very common.
