Are you wearing a suit? If not, then I think those Stowas, while awesome, are a bit formal.

This is a hell of a watch. Swiss made automatic. Close to your price range. Can't go wrong with Hamilton.

Another Swiss brand, Tissot, makes a style more similar to the Antea, and at an awesome price.

Ahh, nice suggestion!

I particularly like this one

In that case you could pick up:

Hamilton Khaki Pilot new~$500 and used ~$250.
Maratec Pilot new $200
Ticino Pilot Type B $150
Achimede Flieger new $600 used $400
Steinhart Nav B-Uhr new $400 $250 Used
Laco Flieger new $420 used ~$200

There are also much nicer WWII-style pilot watches that are north of the $800 mark from Stowa, Damasko, Fortis, Sinn, B&R

If you're looking for an 'Aviator' in that price range, I'd say this [Hamilton] (http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-H64611535-Khaki-Pilot-Black/dp/B0043RWFO0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_241_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=515gXpaE97L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR103%2C160_&refRID=0BZVPT56563Z8Y1KPNMG) is great. It comes with different strap options, like metal, and some variations to the dial and day/dates, look around!

As far as skeleton watches go, there are plenty of good ones. I know this [Bulova] (http://www.amazon.com/Bulova-96A119-Silver-Black-Mechanical/dp/B004OSBJ0Y/ref=sr_1_106?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1450739705&sr=1-106&nodeID=6358539011&keywords=watch&refinements=p_36%3A30000-50000%2Cp_89%3ABulova) made one is very well received, however it's more of an open heart. It also comes in many colors and strap options.

Hmm...looked up affordable Pilot Watches and this Alpha popped up. I don't know if they're on sale or if the brand is good...finding day/date chronographs is quite difficult and it's unlikely you'll find them for less than $1000 (outside of a Christopher Ward C40, which isn't a pilot) or clean looking (Citizen does have the A-T Perpetual Chrono, again, not a pilot, but it does have some good travel features like atomic clock syncing).

Otherwise, this Hamilton should be in your budget.

The Khaki King Pilot from Hamilton comes pretty close. It's 42mm though. Great looking watch though.

I believe all Hamilton Pilot watches are 200m rated.

Those are completely different styles. The Brad Pitt watch might be a Hamilton field watch or one from anybody else, though the Hamilton packs a lot of horological style points. But if you don't care about that you can get a Timex or Seiko field watch -- or just get the Ben Sherman fashion watch and be happy with how it looks.
