Can you take a picture of how it is locked? Is there a brand on the lock? There has to be a way to remove it.
Everywhere I have lived I always changed the showerhead and then changed it back when I moved out.
I always put on one of those handheld shower heads.

But if there is a tub then you are in luck, you dont have to remove it.
Buy one of these shower sprayers that attach to the tub faucet.

Read the reviews, to make it work properly you need to put a screw type pipe clamp around it so it does not slip off.

OP - you could get a portable showerhead, it's a rubber hose that has a fixture that slips over the bath faucet, if you have a bathtub. I wouldn't use it to wash your whole body, but for intimate washing it'd be suitable.

It's unlikely that the spout has a screw-in aerator (that would be too easy). You may be able to use a rubber wand connector like this. Third option would be to remove the spout and plumb in a wand connector (some unscrew, others have a set screw, some just pull off).

The real issue is that the tub deck aren't made for pooling water. You'll need a curtain that drops inside the tub.

This one doesn't review well, but if it is a temp fix you seek you may want to look into similar products.
