I don't want to talk out of my ass here or give you false hope, but if I were you I would definitely try to supplement my diet with green juices. The TL;DR of it is that if it works, it's better to spend money on vegetables and fruits, than on medicine which will most certainly have unpleasant side effects. What I'm saying is that medicine is certainly not a good solution, long term, and may create new problems for you that you or your doctor might not fully anticipate.

Get a slow juicer (aka "masticating" juicer) such as the Hurom Juicer:

Start drinking green juice at least once a day if not more (If you want to know why a slow juicer, I'll gladly explain). Make sure you put a good amount of kale in there, it's the most important component. You can skip the others, but do not skip the kale. If you don't like the flavor you can add carrots, beets, apples and berries to your juice. In fact, add them anyway because they are very healthy and you'll certainly benefit from their addition beyond just the improvement in flavor.

I know some might say this is not 100% in line with the subject of this subreddit, but I would argue that the substances found in green juices are not too different from what you'll find in a good stack.

It's a pain in the butt to do this, make no mistake! You will have to buy those things in your local grocery store or farmer's market, you'll have to store it, clean it, and juice it. You'll have to clean the juicer once you're done. And you need to stick to this regimen for at least 90 days.
