Avoid most gaming headsets, they're usually shit. Even more since that's a pretty unknown brand.
Save up 900 rupees more and get this instead.if you want a good quality headset get the HyperX Cloud Core you may have to save up a bit more though but it is so worth it

My headphones stopped working awhile ago and its really starting to irk me. If I plug them in all the way, voices are almost impossible to hear and other audio is distorted. If I plug them in half way, it works fine. The issue is it is so picky, I spend 10 minutes trying to get them in right, for it to fall out every few hours if I move too quickly. I know its not my PC since I tested on another device. This is the device in question. You can see on the second picture that it comes with a splitter. I tried replacing the splitter and it still didn't work. Any help or am I going to need to buy new headphones?
I bought the Hyper X Cloud Core. But the mic isn't working, whats up?
Windows does detect it. I checked in the recording section under sounds. Asus Realtek Auto Manager doesn't detect it either. I'm confused.
I bought these from Best Buy.

Kingston HyperX Cloud. There are three models, Core, 1 and 2. As far as I'm aware the headset itself is pretty much the same with all three, just some extra goodies with the 1 and more so with the 2. They run from $60 to $90.
Funnily enough I was in your same spot. My 1st party headsets mic died out of nowhere, and I would always hear complaints that people couldn't hear me.

from looking at the pictures in the Amazon ad, it looks like this headset comes with a cable to convert the TRRS male plug into two TRS male plugs.
Are you using that cable?
please google TRS and TRRS for explanations
not for $30, the best "headset" you can get on a budget is the Hyper X Cloud.
If you wnat an inexpensive mic to add to the monoprice, check out the Zalman Clip on Mic.
I have the cloud core, which only set me back 60 USD and the mic quality is great, and comes with accessories that make it easy to use them as listening devices only without looking like and obvious games headset.
Reference
I'd recommend the HyperX Cloud Cores instead for closed-backs. Same headphones, just without all the accessories, and for quite a bit less. You shouldn't be using the USB sound card anyways for audio quality, and you can spend some of the money you save on pads even better than the stock ones on the Cloud II's if you end up needing them.
Would still recommend something with a larger soundstage like Sennheiser HD558's if you're just looking to game; the positional audio advantage is actually tangible in many instances.
