If you are seriously looking for feedback on how to make your place look better, here are my suggestions.

• First things first. Clean it up. Get rid off all the loose things sitting around everywhere.
  
• Get matching solid colour curtains. I suggest a white or medium-dark grey.
  
• Add a white or black fitted sheet to your bed to hide the pad, and keep everything together. After that you can have any sheets/duvet you want.
  
• Move the rug a little bit towards the bed, so it is under the legs of the bed
  
• Add a floor lamp beside the bed, to bring more ambient light into the room and brighten up the space overall.
  
• What do you keep in the basket on the dresser?
  
• Add a coat rack to the corner beside the bookshelf, and use that to hang you clothes, instead of that octopus hanger thing.
  
• Mount a hook on the two guitar hooks on the wall between the kitchen and front door, to get your guitars off the ground.
  
• Move the dresser a little closer to the bed, and set up your keyboard on the stand beside it.
  
• Add a to the wall behind the door, to give yourself a once over before leaving the place.
  
• Use some zip ties or twist ties to keep all the cables together and out of the way on the floor by your bed
  
• Mount one of these under the desk to keep the desk cables clean
  
• Pick up some of [these] to keep your papers organized on your bookshelf and desk
  
• What is in the boxes on top of the shelf? If you need to keep the stuff, pick up a couple of these, so it looks clean and purposeful with the lids. If you can don't need that stuff, replace them with a dangling ivy plant.
  
• And similar to the boxes, grab some of these, these, or these to replace those plastic baskets on the shelf
  
• Add some small plants or succulents for the window sill
  
• Hang either a long mirror horizontally, or 3 pieces art that are the same size, on the wall above the bed.
  
• Hang a simple clock above the desk
  
• Grab something like this to store your pencils, pens, scissors, etc
  
• Get a soap dispenser for your dish soap
  
• Mount one of these under your kitchen cabinets for your paper towel.
