I think the idea of wireless input lag is generally overblown, but with Bluetooth the lag can be noticeable, enough for even a slowpoke like me to make a mistake or two. If you want a wireless mechanical that's made for gaming, both Logitech and Corsair make models that use proprietary high-speed RF connections. I'd go with the Corsair over the Logitech, just because it uses standard Cherry-style switches.

FYI if you use two computers (say, a Mac and a PC) and don't want to bother with a KVM switch this keyboard (and the G603 mouse) are your friends. You can connect to one computer using the included Lightspeed dongle and pair with the other using bluetooth. Then swap between BT/lightspeed to switch between computers.

Also, this is lower than the lowest ever price on Amazon according to CamelCamelCamel

This has been 72.80 on Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=g613&qid=1568994085&sr=8-3

I have one, I think the switches feel just fine, but they do make a pinging sound sometimes. I’ll eventually get used to it or go mental. Not sure yet.

Is this better than the G613 at the same price on Amazon?

idk but it seems like a tough thing to do...wireless and fullsize and quiet keys....

You can try the Logitech G613 which has romer g, kinda feels like mx brown imo decently quiet...you can add a cloth at the bottom if u want.

imo what you really need is like a wireless tkl board, with a pocket numpad...and a macroboard

slightly cheaper to order it from amazon.com even after the exchange rate

u/quarkninja · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

I believe Amazon discounted it soon after BestBuy had it on sale. It was $106 earlier this week on Amazon

u/zakabog · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Define good looking?

There are plenty of wireless BlueTooth keyboards like the Logitech G613, or the Corsair K63 that offer backlighting as well as mechanical keys.

u/It_Was_Jeff · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Sorry I'm a bit late on the reply. Check these options out and see if they look like what you're interested in:

  • G213 Prodigy - for if mechanical keys just aren't your thing. I used to own one of these, never had any complaints. On the cheaper end, too

  • G613 - pretty much same as above, but wireless and mechanical. A good friend swears by this and made fun of me for having the "cheaper" option.

  • Das 4 - this one busts your budget a bit, but man it's awesome. Two buying options is nice, too - clicky or soft. It's not a gaming keyboard per se, but holy crap I love this thing. Biggest downside is no backlighting. I rarely use it for gaming since it's technically the property of my office, but it's great for gaming and great for office use with the quiet key version. I used to play LoL on it a lot at work, and still play some other competitive games on it a couple of times a week and it's awesome. Zero complaints about this thing. A lot of what I do at work is typing-intensive, and I can do it all day with this keyboard.

G613 here. I love it. I don't like RGB much, I needed a mechanical keyboard, and I wanted something fully wireless because I can't stand wire clutter. It's got everything I could want, plus you have the ability to pair it with Bluetooth to your phone and switch over at the press of a button to type a long text or something.

It's slightly over your budget at $106.

based on your suggestions and a lot more research i have now decided to take i5 9th gen which i want to overclock when warranty is over/system is slow. On that decision here is my new list.

Now because i plan to overclock it, would your recommended hyper 212 work on the long run? some comments on the product say no. also since my i5 doesn't come with a cooler, would you recommend any other? And if i wish to overclock will my 650W psu still be ok? the hyper 212 has 2 yr warranty vs the noctua has 6yr. thats another thing i am considering.

Note: I want to have only one CPU cooler. just kept 2 in the list for reference.

Motherboard: I have read that if i want to upgrade later, its best to invest in a good motherboard. I previously checked out H310/370 and B360 but since i chose to do overclocking later switched back to z390. Now this motherboard doesnt seem to have HDMI but has some dvi-d and display port. is that ok or should i look for something that has HDMI too? I read that display ports support better/faster resolution/graphics. how true is that?

I am thinking on the mechanical keyboards too. I am gonna go checkout some in a physical store. i need wireless option so if not the below listed keyboard i was thinking
logitech g613 https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7

and logitech g603 mouse. which will take the price over $150 just for keyboard and mouse.

thanks for all your help

I'm using the Logitech G613. It's an inconspicuous, matte, grey-on-grey, wireless, mechanical keyboard without any frills, so it seems to be exactly what you're looking for. Just looking at it, "gaming" doesn't come to mind at all: It's simple and sleek... kind of drab, actually, so it's going to blend in without a hitch in an office environment. It's quite hefty for a keyboard, which might be a mark against portability, but it's not too bad. If you intend to carry it to work in a backpack or in your car, it's totally fine. It's got no LEDs in it at all, other than for the CAPS lock indicator and such.
The switches are not super clicky, though it is definitely louder than domed keyboards. I have not noticed any delay from the wirelessness of it. If you're fine with the price tag (<100€/111$), I highly recommend it. It sits on the desk rather firmly, and doesn't move around while you're typing or playing at all. It's stuck in place until you decide to move it. Love it.

And wouldn't you know it: It's on Amazon sale for 74$ right now, so if you're in the U.S., I highly recommend you snatch this one up.

My favorite mouse if you want the type of mouse that has a lot of buttons:

https://www.amazon.com/UtechSmart-Venus-16400-Precision-Gaming/dp/B00FNKMVUO

I've been using this mouse for awhile now and haven't had double clicking issues like I did with Razr / Logitech mouse. Plus it's a bargain!

Otherwise, I use this while I game on the bed if I don't use a controller:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-LIGHTSPEED-POWERPLAY-Wireless-Compatibility/dp/B0716ZFWWV/

Despite my stab at Logitech earlier, this mouse is by far the most responsive wireless mouse I've used. Not only that, it can be used on almost any surface since sometimes I use it on a pillow / bed sheet while lounging around in bed and playing games on the TV via steam link.

As for keyboards, for wired I use:

I forgot what brand my wired keyboard is since I'm not home at the moment.

For wireless on the bed, I use:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7/

Like above, the Lightspeed tech makes it super responsive even at more than 10ft away. Not only that, you can switch between Bluetooth / Lightspeed allowing you to control up to two different machines at a flip of the switch.
