It's not expensive to get your foot in the door. You can find some really good keyboards sub 80€.

Anne Pro

I just got myself an Anne Pro and I love it. It's replaced my previous board which cost twice the price.

You'll only really start putting a dent in your montly spending if your ordering customer keysets, artisan keycaps, or doing DIY projects. Some people just like to switch up their builds every month and end up spending a lot. Find a board you're happy with out of the box and you won't have that problem.

I would say to go with an Anne Pro with linear (red) or tactile (brown) switches to keep the noise to a minimum. Ideally you'd want to use a MKB with one of the newer silent switches for the quietest board possible but given your criteria that would put you into custom build territory.

Alright, so with 60% you're going to have a ton of options. The first thing that I would consider is if you want to build it yourself or just buy a pre-built one. If you're going the pre-built route, that narrows your choices down considerably. Probably the most common pre-built 60% is the Vortex Poker (BTW, that link is far and away NOT the cheapest Poker you can find online). The other common board that is suggested for the 60% layout is the Anne Pro. That board even has its own subreddit /r/annepro.

For the pre-built keyboards, your switch choices are fairly limited, unless you want to desolder the board and put different switches in (although I wouldn't necessarily classify this as pre-built anymore). For the Poker, your basic options are red, blue, black, green, and brown (all Cherry MX). Red and black are linear switches. That means that there is no bump and no audible "click" when the switch actuates. It's a smooth press all the way down. Black is heavier than red, meaning it'll take more force to actuate the switch. Blue and green are clicky switches. That means you'll hear an audible "click" and feel a bump when the switch actuates. Brown is a tactile switch. That means that there is no "click" but there is a bump. Cherry is just the manufacturer of the switches, and MX denotes their mechanical keyboard switch lineup. You've got silent variants of red and black switches as well, which are the same as regular red and black, but with little rubber pieces on the stem so that when the stem "bottoms out" or hits the bottom of the housing, it won't be so loud (same with the travel back up and collision with the top of the housing).

If you're looking at making your own custom keyboard, you have way more options. I'll leave it at that for now. If you've got specific questions, ask away!

If you can consider Gateron you can get the Anne Pro on Amazon, it's a wonderful 60% keyboard with RGB backlighting and bluetooth. I love mine!

Here it is on amazon

It actually just says “Red Switch,” so I️ think you’re right. They feel identical to the real cherry reds that I have though. Sorry about that, let me change it.

Anne Pro on Amazon?, not overly sure what precisely you're looking for however bar ANSI.

u/ringingbells · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Holly shit that's a nice keyboard. I just looked it up. What a pleasing layout. I wonder how that bad boy feels.

u/dn1ce · 2 pointsr/wallpaperdump

I have a few!
I have my first mechanical keyboard, that has since been retired, the Magicforce 68 in Outemu Browns. The second and my primary one is the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro M with Cherry MX Browns and Tai Hao Midnight Dawn keycaps. Lastly, I use the Obins Anne Pro with Gateron Browns occasionally.

u/NeonJaguars · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I'd recommend getting it from Amazon, if you are in the US.

There's a white version too, and red, blue, and brown switches to choose from.

Had a Microsoft SideWinder X4 Keyboard for forever until purchases these keyboards.

Nothing too fancy or too expensive. Started with the Magicforce. Found that I was missing my F keys. Saw a post on /r/MechanicalKeyboards about the Motospeed. Got the colored caps for fun. Then wanted something a little smaller and got the Anne Pro.

I like all of them but so far the Motospeed is the easiest. Still learning function patterns on the others. I'd like to eventually put the Motospeed into a different base as the stock one is very cheap and plasticy.

Where did you buy yours? Amazon or Banggood. Are both sellers reputable?

u/Ramb3 · 1 pointr/AnnePro

My friend, where did u buy your anne pro? Because i want one but i cant find any here in uk. I found one here's the link

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B06XW33N5R/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501266315&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=anne+pro&dpPl=1&dpID=41qHPOmyjgL&ref=plSrch
But it's from different name? Not from obins. Instead sainsonic or something like that. Can u see if its a legit anne pro or a fake one? Thanks.

Here's a few things to look at:

  1. full size keyboards (with side numpad)
  1. 71 key (a bit smaller, no side keypad)
  1. 60% key (really small, probably a little too small if you want medium size, but I figured I'd throw it out there.)
  • Anne Pro

The anne pro is the keyboard I'm currently using. It's a little bit over your budget but it's amazing. Really well built, has bluetooth, a ton of different RGB modes and customizations, and it's small and will easily fit on any desk.
u/mnovem9 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Is there a budget Tenkeyless keyboard I can get for under $50. Something that would have the option to customize? I see a lot of these nice HHKB keyboards but i've also seen stuff like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XW33N5R?psc=1 . Where is somewhere I could look for a cheap one?

u/TheLotri · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Trying to pick from the following keyboards:

  • Cooler Master MasterKeys S PBT
  • Anne Pro
  • DREVO Calibur

I'll be using this for programming at work. I've never used anything less than a full-sized keyboard, though. For anybody who has used the Anne Pro before, how was the actual battery life they experienced? I know they say you can go about a month if you keep the LEDs off.
u/curiequark · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

It's not something you can do to all keyboards, just ones with onboard memory.

This is the one I'm currently using at my desk, which comes out of box with the ability to switch between layouts (QWERTY, DVORAK, and COLEMAK are pre-programmed in as options), and is programmable. The size and split is glorious for my wrists and shoulders - I never knew what kind of upper back pain I had until I tried using a full-sized board again. This is the board I carry around with me, and have a few custom layouts for as well (uses a phone app to reset layouts).

There are other keyboards available with this functionality in a variety of sizes. Alternatively, you can build your own/buy a premade kit and program it yourself. If you're into mechanical keyboards as well as typing, you might find a happy home over at /r/MechanicalKeyboards. :) Some of the folks over there might be able to help with modding an existing board (mechanical or otherwise) to hold onto alternative layouts. I've seen it done, I just don't know how to do it myself.

u/Nexures · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

just out of my own curiosity, what made you recommend ikbc and pok3r over for example, this and this. would you say your recommendations are better?

u/edinburg · 0 pointsr/Morrowind

If you want simple I strongly recommend just using Morrowind Code Patch and MGE XE. MCP has a very user friendly installer for patching bugs out and functionality in to the Morrowind executable, and MGE XE has step by step instructions for enabling anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, improved lighting and shaders, and distant land/statics, all of which make Morrowind look very good even with vanilla meshes and textures. Personally I also run a small number of mods (the font replacer recommended by MCP, mana regen, the official plugins, delayed DB attack, herbalism, and readable signposts) but I wouldn't say any of them are necessary.

As for input, my living room PC has bluetooth so I use a a compact 60% bluetooth keyboard (this one) in my lap and a bluetooth mouse on the end table for gaming in the living room. I also have the bluetooth Xbox One controller for games where a controller does make sense.
