If you want to do it "right" you can use a male inlet box in the wall with romex inside the wall, like this one. You should use a different colored faceplate/outlet (red?) for the outlet on the other end powered by the UPS and label it accordingly so nobody plugs a vacuum cleaner into it. I wouldn't run romex outside a wall (it isn't meant to be repeatedly flexed like a stranded extension cord is) and likewise for running extension cords inside walls.
Amazon also has some cheaper and other selections
I put one in my living room for the TV a few years ago. I'm pretty sure I put it in a standard box. Maybe more like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Midlite-MDT4642W-Single-Gang-Decor-Recessed/dp/B002XDQAA6/ref=pd_sbs_263_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C1HVSTSPE9PSYE5ZTKQE
They also sell outdoor ones: https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-5278-CWP-Receptacle-Industrial-Grounding/dp/B003ATXIBG/ref=pd_sbs_263_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C1HVSTSPE9PSYE5ZTKQE
Edit: oops, looks like u/cryo_burned beat me to it.

Think of this setup as in "in wall" power cord for the projector. This is very common, and shouldn't be an issue to pass code. Basically explain you're running a Battery Backup off of the 20amp circuit, and then the "in wall" power cord then plugs into the battery backup, which you should do btw, get a UPS for the projector in case of power outages so you can do proper shutdowns.
Note I wouldn't run BOTH the projector and the subwoofer off of this single cord, I wouldn't want your subwoofer on the same line that runs to the projector. They should be separate.
It's a 14gauge with one end being an outlet and other end being an inlet. The inlet will plug to the 20amp outlet. The inlet plug will be like this.

That's what I'd do... I used a power inlet to run power behind a TV briefly in the past (this one: https://www.amazon.com/Midlite-MDT4642W-Single-Gang-Decor-Recessed/dp/B002XDQAA6/ref=sr_1_2)... it worked, and running romex through the wall meets code, whereas running an extension cord -- even in conduit of some kind -- isn't.
My current space, I ran circuits in the walls that were hardwired. If you have an outlet directly below, an electrician can run that for maybe $100 or something, if you want it "legit".
