This is the one we got - it comes with a waterproof cover which is great (although we also registered for and received a second waterproof mattress cover for when the first one is in the laundry). We are 3.5 months pp and have no complaints whatsoever.
Ninja edit: it doubles as an infant and toddler mattress - one side is firmer for safe infant sleep, while the other side is softer for comfort for when the baby's older.
The best dog bed I've found is this toddler mattress, although any would do.
They are build stupid-well, and are cheaper than the comparable dog product. I don't even have a particularly large dog (45lb Golden), but this mattress allows her to stretch out, and she absolutely loves it.
We are cosleeping for the first 6 months or so (with a baby nest thingy) and then using CertiPur memory foam
First kiddo has a "proper" ultra firm mattress and haaaaates it alone. She didn't start sleeping through the night until I added a massively plush down type topper.
Milliard on Amazon is soft and fits regular cribs perfectly. Baby has slept on it since 4 months old and is now 10 months. I bought a second one for crib at Grandmas house because I love it so much. Plus it comes with a cover built in to protect from diaper leaks or other spills.
