Here's what I'd do / What I have done but not looking at the floor.

You'll need a bunch of stuff but it'll work the best (I think), and cheaper than a Ronin-M which I don't think will go around forever.

You need some way of mounting it upside down.

  • Could be those studio backdrop pole set ups, could be a ladder platform, counterweighted boom arm on a c stand?

    Get one of these:

  • https://amzn.to/2JsrOZ5 https://amzn.to/2HBhEVD
It's a Timelapse head, they will spin continuously without any hard stops, they usually have multiple speed settings but the fastest might be 360deg in 20 seconds, slowest might be hours.

Mount an 90 L bracket to the head > your camera to the L bracket > timelapse head to the overhead rig.

  • As long as you've aligned your camera sensor's center point to the rotation axis of the timelapse head it should give you the effect you are going for.

The only problem would be monitoring the output unless your camera has wifi, or you can somehow mount and power a HDMI radio transmitter up on the camera without any cables that'll get caught.

There are egg timer like things on amazon where you can mount your gopro to it and over a couple of hours it will rotate.

Found one.

You could probably mount it to a tripod too and flip it sideways so it can pan up and down.
