You can find just as good on Amazon Warehouse on certain days for certain cards. I found a good deal on a 1080 months ago on an MSI card that I wanted. They get some shipments that are damaged and put it "used - very good" . I much prefer them to open box, all the warehouse items I got I either can't tell they're damaged or small marks.

Here's an EVGA card for $334 not including tax: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01GX5YWAO/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1487805828&sr=1-1&keywords=1070

Just to add on here, it looks like Amazon might be selling this for $487 after rebates. MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X SLI DirectX 12 VR Ready Graphics Card (GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC)

Get rid of one of your 16gb stick sets of RAM, you don't need 32gb, and upgrade to gtx 1080 or at least to this white/black version of the 1070. Almost forgot, i think an evga gold or platinum 650psu would be better.

The 1080 Armor is available for back order on Amazon for $671. What's the difference between these two?

You should go for a GTX 1080 . The GPU you selected is a CAD card not a gaming Card.

I don't know how much this will help, but here's one that I found that has 2 fans instead of the exhaust fan that you have. Plus you get a fancy rebate :)

Well, it seems that I have nothing to lose. I went with this one by the way, amazon is still accepting pre-orders:

I believe this same card is less than $494 brand new with full warranty at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1080-ARMOR-8G/dp/B01GXOWUDQ

I currently have a gtx 770 and with Vega/1080 ti being projected at 5 months way have decided to get a 1080 for now and narrowed it down to the EVGA FTW @ $595 and the MSI ARmor @ $588

I'll mostly be playing at 1440p and my monitor is only 60Hz,this is my current setup, which should I get

The color scheme on my pc is white and black

Yeah I'm mostly a pvp type of player. I'll mostly be running battle royale type of games or big open worlds.

I just realized the ti is going for 750, I thought prices dropped significantly but I guess not(unless this is the significant drop lol). So I'll probably stick with the MSI one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GXOWUDQ/?tag=pcpapi-20 this specific one has the "ARMOR" style which you mentioned not to great on the cooling, does it really matter which style I choose as in how it will affect performance other than the cooling point you mentioned?
And thanks for your input

Honestly, for how much your spending on the 1070, you could easily get a 1080.

Here's one from Amazon, in fact.

And I want to know if these in particular will fit the case ...

processor

motherboard

graphics card

u/Integralds · 1 pointr/neoliberal

Even then the overlap gets annoying.

EVGA has 1070 Ti variants that sell for anywhere from $410 to $490, and those are just variants on a single underlying GPU. One tier "up," MSI is selling a 1080 for anywhere from $490 to $600. Again there's a $100 range for a single underlying chip.

There are too many underlying cards (11 for Nvidia!) and too many third-party variants, and the prices all just meld into each other until they don't make any sense.

the price for 1080 is around 500$

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1080-8G-OC/dp/B01GXOWUDQ?keywords=1080&qid=1540406387&s=Electronics&sr=1-1&ref=sr_1_1

i found 2070 gigabyte for 498$

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1080-8G-OC/dp/B01GXOWUDQ?keywords=1080&qid=1540406387&s=Electronics&sr=1-1&ref=sr_1_1

so the prices are smilier why i should go for the 1080 or 1080ti ?

also i already chose 650w 80+ platinum and western digital m.2 (1 TB ) , im not sure what storage and UPS battery you're referencing

Newegg is good. This is the only one in stock anywhere as far as I'm aware.

I bought the MSI GeForce 1080 Armor 8G OC for $659.99 a few days ago. Currently sitting at home as all the parts are still being delivered. Is this deal better (in terms of quality and maybe performance) that I should return it and get this? Help appreciated!
