I used to take supplements, specifically vitamin K and Yarrow. They worked wonders for me so I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot.

Lord I feel your pain, OP! Saying that, I invested in some Yarrow Flower Supplement pills on Amazon (also in the UK), and taking the reccommended two pills a day seriously cut my cramps down to a fraction of what they were! I was amazed at how fast they worked, and I'm so pleased with the new lack of cramps! :) Here's the link if you're interested!
