I also use a desk footrest like this one. It gives some elevation and encourages me to move my feet around.
I kick my shoes off under the desk, just to help keep my feet from turning into loaves in shoes.

5 foot 5.5 inches and I'm heavy. I don't do gaming chairs (nothing against them just never found them practical). I just do general office chairs and I look for one that rated around 50-100 lbs more then I am. I also look for chairs with a metal base since I find them more durable. As for my feet not reaching that isn't a problem for me because I use the desk foot rests because I find I am more comfortable with my feet elevated an extra 6-8 inches. I generally try to find office chairs that are rated for at least 6-8 hour a day sitting because they are built sturdier. I'm a very utilitarian type gal. I can't even tell you what my current chair is because I have no clue but I did get it from an office store since they rate their chairs by hours of usage so you know the durability before you buy. This isn't the exact foot rest brand I have but it is similar. its $30. its above average in price compared to the others. Thats why i ask the firmness of it. I dont like memory foam ones as they tend to be too soft.
