Edit : Looks like the Coupon got taken down, games over folks :(

Looks like it's bugging out and applying the 20% off Twice. Discount applies at checkout!

YMMV as it may not apply twice to everything.

This is already posted on Slickdeals so you better look fast if you want to get anything good before they clean everything out.

I would not upgrade with an SSD. I'd use a hybrid drive, like one of these:

The price for these drives is well worth the benefits, even if it's just for your console.

I am also considering upgrading the hard drive. But I am really confused between a hybrid , ssd, and 5400/7200rpm.
Some say there is a performance difference but it is not significant.
I don't really need a 1tb.
How good is this ?

It is. "Laptop Thin". I can read it through the sealed anti-static bag. Different sticker, same model number as this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Gaming-2-5-Inch-Internal-ST500LM000/dp/B00B99JU5M

The Asus K551 is one of the best options in Denmark. Your games will run well at the 1366x768 resolution.

If you want to upgrade to a SSD, you probably need to look for one 7mm tall. A hybrid drive would probably be better than an SSD.

Edit: Sorry, I was thinking of Swedish Krona, the Danish price from that website is $900USD after VAT.

The F550 is physically larger and heavier, but has a 1080p display and a larger battery for the same price.

Here is a K551 with a larger hard drive for the same price. I can't tell what the shipping costs are.

Wow I kinda wish I got one of those hub add ons. I use a 500GB hybrid hard drive with a separate enclosure
Just plugged into the back.

The enclosure might work better for you if you're worried about the colors not matching. Plug it into the back or side and hide the hard drive somewhere.

Only reason I got the hard drive is to load up tracks faster

Sure, this works.

Installing it should be pretty straight forward.

It has a 500gb SSHD with 8gb of built in nand flash. This is the stock drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B99JU5M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QjPUBbQATGE6C

/r/techsupport would probably be a better sub-reddit for this. But, I'm not a sub-reddit nazi. We'd need a lot more info to help you though:

  • Are you building this PC or buying to pre-built?

  • If you are building your own PC what MoBo? If you are buying from an OEM, what make/model?

  • Are you buying an all in one hybrid drive like these? or does your motherboard support using a msata SSD for caching? Something else?

    That'll get us started.

You might consider a hybrid SSD/HDD then. I can personally vouch for this one, which should have the same capacity as your current drive, and with enough flash storage to where your OS and applications will run as if they were on an SSD, which is all you want for performance. Otherwise, you can take your pick from any of these SSDs.
