Hey, I actually own an HP Omen that's nearly identical in specs to the one you listed.
Screen quality is fantastic. 144hz absolutely makes the difference. The keyboard feels nice, nothing too inventive or interesting but it's functional and keypresses feel nice. The thermal performance is a tad weak though, in my experience. It definitely chucks heat, so invest in extra thermal paste for a re-pasting, and you may also want a cooling pad to lower the temps even further, combined with Intel XTU or ThrottleStop.
As for it's futureproof-ness, I can't say all too much. The 2070 Max-Q plays everything I throw at it on High-Ultra over 60fps, but depending on the game my temperatures will get pretty high.
