Those are basically designed to burn out often so you can spend more money at parts stores buying bulbs.

If you were satisfied with the stock bulbs, which are the long-life type, then there are aftermarket standard-type bulbs available. These are the longest lasting H11 bulbs, rated for 60,000 miles of driving before replacement.

These are an alternative, and come with a 4-year warranty. Both recommendations claim 60,000 miles of worry-free driving, and the exact same 2000 hour life, so it really comes down to personal preference...but the 4-year warranty with registration is tempting in case one burns out and you feel like writing the company for a free replacement.

If you're looking for better lighting than stock, there are bulbs that accomplish that while at least as long or longer than Silverstars. Like any of these.

But I would still, at the very least, put a multimeter across your battery while the car is running and see what voltage you're getting from the alternator.
