I bought these and stuck them on the wall next to my desk.... I like to have a place to put my cans aside from just laying on my desk but a dedicated stand is a waste of money and space to me.

Disclaimer: I hate desktop stands. They take up too much space and rarely look good.
My favorite. The only thing preventing it from being perfect is screw holes on the top for clean mounting under a desk.. I can easily add those though.
Second favorite. Works great, has screw holes for under desk mounting.
Nice wall mount hangers. I like these a lot for wall mounting.
The old standby. Cheap and effective. I use a few of these throughout the house for hanging headphones. No, they do not cause damage or indentations on headphone bands.
Someone posted these a few days ago, which are new to me:

I bought these a while ago, but have yet to use them (although they are largely similar to the ones above):

One for headset, one for controller and last one for headphones. Mounted right on the wall. Looks great. https://i.imgur.com/tgVDHNR.jpg
They appear to have changed the type of mounting tape that used to come with them (which was overkill and completely unremovable) but they're still the same http://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Power-Aluminum-Overhead-Headphone/dp/B00XIXEJWG

Do you think these wall mounts stick out enough to hold these?

Says 45mm which is about 1.8" from the wall.
A wrist rest keeps me comfortable when I'm using the computer for extended periods of time.
I also use these headphone holders, they are cheap and mount with doublesided tape, and they'll hold just about any headphones you can find.
Another thing that many people don't think about, but can make a massive difference, is monitor placement. VESA Arm mounts are great for having monitors placed where you want them, while also letting you shift them around when you need to.
