Mobo is the GA-Z270-Wifi. RGB strip inside is an Airgoo dRGB strip from here:

Hey everyone.

I just purchased some 5V 3-pin addressable LED light strips to put in my case. My MOBO has the 5V 3-pin addressable LED port to power it. The strips claim to be compatible with Aura Sync, and I use Aura Sync to control my RGB RAM so I know it works, but the strips aren't being recognized. They are powered on and "breathing" white light, but I want to change the LED's to the colour scheme I have going.

Any advice?

MOBO, LED strips.

Update: Just read I might have to control it through my MOBO's RGB software, so I downloaded the AsRock RGB LED Software and it's saying "This utility is not for this platform."

Update 2: I got the MOBO software to open, but it wasn't controlling the addressable LED's. Still stuck :( I've unplugged them for now.

While it can also handle stuff well, it lags a bit behind the laptop, and is ultimately not going to be easily upgradeable due to the CPU socket. The case is also quite small, making it difficult to add anything more. At best, if I wanted a new machine without buying extra i could salvage the storage, gpu and pci extras.

I recently bought these their magnetic rather than the sticky ones

PC Digital RGB LED Strip, 2019... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DPNNTHJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Dont buy this, its going to be a nightmare.

  1. That board doesnt have an addressable header, is micro atx (so will look stupid) and overall isnt a good board

  2. That extra fan is no addressable, so will look out of place and odd with the fans with the case

  3. Same with the RGB strips
