The "Perixx PX-1900" is the absolute best scissor switch keyboard around. It almost has full NKRO, and I say almost because it drops about one letter with the "THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG" nkro test. Which is when you hold down both shift keys and attempt to type the sentence. Gaming is a largely subjective thing. The PX-1900 has served me just as well as my optical-mechanical keyboard. Any "speed" differences between keyboards are INSANELY marginal. So realistically it doesn't matter. The PX-1900 is only around $35. If it is being sold for a inflated price Perixx probably ran out of stock and you gotta wait a little bit for them to come back if that's the case.

Don't let others dictate your preferences. If you like a certain key switch, use it. You can use a shitty Dell keyboard and more a less be successful in video games. Imo its the mouse you have to worry about quality wise.

So don't be afraid to use scissor switches. It all boils down to personal preference. Which the mechanical keyboard community sure has a habbit on shitting on other's.

I have been using a ps3 controller which I am sure is not quiet as good as a ps4 controller but is a little cheaper. SCP is the best way to get it working.

For keyboards I have really been liking my Perixx 11483. $60 would almost be enough to get this and a PS3 controller.

Aren't the lowest actuation point keyboards the ones with optical switches?
This one's 1.8mm: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0734919BR/
and this one's 1.5mm: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079HJCZ45/

Scissor switches keyboard actuation points are 2+mm:
