Reddit mentions of Primal Horizon Magnets: 1/8 In X 1/16 In (50)

I've been using 1/8" for everything for a super secure connection that I can paint over without weakening. Same company though as I feel their magnets find a good compromise between strength and size.

I noticed you didn't use any latch for keeping the lid closed. I like the nice clean look, and a couple magnets set in can make a great "latch." I used something like this in the past. Drilled holes to fit and CA glued them in.

Sucks about the wood movement, but good job overall :)

I use primal horizon - I have seen it in multiple shops. Package looks like link below (comes in several sizes). It's really simple - buy a drill bit of the same size (primal horizon sells those too) and stick the magnet in there. Biggest thing is don't glue them the wrong way around - easy to avoid by leaving them stacked while you work.
