I got this one for $26 Amazon Prime and it seems to be working very well.

So haven't yet figured out shoes for myself, but here's everything else I have lined up:
Wipes (cheaper than the bulk stuff? bad to use scented?): http://amzn.com/B00Q70RCW6
Mat (found multiple threads here where people referenced this one): http://amzn.com/B00GNLKZ28
Weights (colors aren't great, but variety for price seems worth it): http://amzn.com/B0727Q5F94
HRM: http://amzn.com/aB00JQHTJS2
Hey guys, thank you both for your suggestions! Decided to go with the gym mat one, and this arrived today:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GNLKZ28/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(I had found a shorter one- the longer size was for being able to have some mat between two adjacent desks.)
It had a couple spots of damage upon arrival, but for the price, and the spots where they are, I think I'll tolerate it/not do the return.
Anyway, it's working like a charm, no more unintentional rolling! I can't just push easily and roll, of course, I have to get up a little bit and push to move away, but it's very worth it so far.
Edit: line breaks
I got this one (at the recommendation of a user in this sub): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GNLKZ28/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's worked well for me, and I have it on top of an engineered hardwood floor. I hope you love your bike! Happy cycling!
Is this the mat that everyone is talking about from amazon? It comes up first in the search as a bestseller.

This mat rocks. Cheaper than the Peloton branded one. Of you are putting it on hardwood you're set. If you're putting it on carpet I recommend going to Home Depot and spending $20 on 3/4" chipboard cut to the size of whatever mat you get.

What do you plan to use for viewing? I use a laptop with a USB ANT+ sensor to a TV via HDMI and it’s pretty awesome. Only other things would be a mat (I use this cheap one) and a towel. Pretty sure your trainer will do anything else.

We didnt ever buy a package. We bought our mat off Amazon for about 30 bucks. Just search exercise bike mat. Here's the one we got:

My wife found her weights at Goodwill. Really all we bought was shoes. Make sure your husband has the Delta clips for the bike. Good luck!!!
