I sprained my ankle once and for the first week I was like nah it will go away. Well it didnt, so I went to my doc and he said, yep 4 weeks atleast pause! I had a support sock (something like this! https://www.amazon.com/Protle-Adjustable-Compression-Support-Silicone/dp/B079Q91R9C/ref=sr_1_9?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1539222662&sr=1-9&keywords=ankle+support) and atleast for just walking from point a>b was totally fine. But I didnt skate for the whole time, so I dont know how it will/could work when skateboarding.
