You might want to start with the "[What camera should I buy?] (http://www.reddit.com/r/Filmmakers/wiki/cameraguide)" guide in the sidebar. Sadly, although the guide is a useful starting point, it is admittedly a "work in progress" and is a little out of date. It does not, for example, include the latest generation of entry level cameras (to include the Sony A6000, Panasonic G6 and G7).

I haven't used that mic, but I've heard decent reviews about it. Depending on the type of video though, you may want the LAV mic, but it should work fine. If you're looking for something that will be completely out of frame you could go with the Rode videomic or videomic pro.
