I took “changing the locks” quite literally when we bought our house. No key needed at all, but still not “connected” either. Seems to work pretty well. I can even create codes for family to let themselves in. Much better investment than kwickset any day.
It's not a smart lock, but mine is opened via digital keypad. Am I doing about as much as I can without making my house a fortress for thousands of dollars?
