Please return it and buy the Sony BLTUHM1 instead.

The clip you own is rather made for the AZ1 and gives you zero possibilities of adjusting it, also it cannot support the weight of the bigger ActionCams.

With the BLTUHM1 you can adjust the camera so good, that your face completly vanishes out of the cameras view like in this video I made.

You can also parts of it together with the adhesive plates you got with the camera to mount it on the side of a helmet like I did in this video.

I ensure you that you will be more satisfied with the BLTUHM1.

This is the one I use, but I don't recall it being over $30. There's some used ones around the $20 price point (if you're cool with wearing something that someone else sweated on...)

If the BOSS is the exact same as the FDR-x3000, then you should be good to go. I didn't know they included it on any other of their camera models. I'd buy it and immediately take it for a quick jog. Don't expect it to perform exactly like a gimbal, but it should be considerably more stable than a gopro.
