Yay OP & kitters. This is the start of an amazing relationship. I did not see this mentioned, but it is totally worth sharing, cats love high-ish places. They feel safer when they are up off the floor since they are vulnerable to bigger animals. Get a cat tree or put a comfy bed on a bookcase, cabinet, etc. It doesn't have to be super high, just enough so he can survey his domain, lol. Also, he may benefit from a cave style bed since he lived outside for a while.
