Back in the day, I used the red version of Splat hair dye at home to dye my hair bright red. I have very dark black-brown hair and it came out great, and was easy to do.
My sister did my hair but we left the bleach in my hair for probably a little over an hour. My hair turned a very light blonde in places where it had never been bleached before and a sort of orangey blonde where I had previously done highlights. She then put in Splats blue envy and we left that in for a little over 45 minutes. I'm really pleased with how bright it came out. I've never had it be this true of a blue. Luckily my hair didn't get damaged and its still really soft.
