For those interested, here is the process I follow. This is the second skull I've done and both have turned out nicely. I know it looks like a lot of work at face value, and there is a lot of time that goes into it, but I was super nervous the first time I tried this, did a lot of research on how to do euro mounts and ultimately almost bailed out and paid someone $150 to do it for me. I ended up sticking it out and am glad I did both times. I know it's cliche, but if I can do this, anyone can do it and there is an immense amount of self pride that you get from seeing it hanging on your wall. Good luck and I look forward to seeing pictures of others who attempt to do their own DIY euro mount!

  1. Using your favorite knife or utility knife remove the hide from the deer skull. I find it best to pull the hide away from the skull while making small slices where the hide is still connected to the skull. But use whatever means you like so long as you get the hide removed.
  2. Once the skin is removed, I typically start working on removing the lower jaw and tongue. Slowly start pulling the bottom jaw open and cut away at the tendons and meat that give you resistance. Eventually the lower jaw should completely give way and separate from the skull.
  3. With the lower jaw removed I next turn my focus to removing the eyeballs. Typically I will start by cutting away at the fatty waxy substance behind the eye socket. Once you have most of that stuff removed, start pushing on the eyeball from behind, trying to force it out through the front of the skull. As you're pushing, try to cut away at the tissue around the eye to release it from the socket. Eventually you'll be able to pop the eyeball out and cut away the remaining tissue and nerves.
  4. Once you've removed both eyeballs it's time to move onto the brain. Depending on your budget and patience you can handle this one of two ways. The first time I just used a combination of picks and knives to dig the brain matter out of the brain cavity. The second time around I ordered the RaptoRazor Scrambler (link below) which is essentially a drill bit that you string up with weed eater string. Using this tool you can simply pour water into the brain cavity, mix it up with the scrambler, and pour it out. It took me approximately 4 to 5 cycles of this to get the brain cavity completely cleaned. But as soon as the water begins to pour clear you're done.
  5. Now that the brain and eyeballs have been removed from the skull use a combination of knives and picks to get as much meat and cartilage off the skull as possible. Pay extra attention in detail to the nasal cavity as the bones are delicate and break easily, but there is so much cartilage to be removed.
  6. Once you're satisfied and have removed as much meat and cartilage as possible it's time to boil the skull. I use an outdoor turkey fryer with an old stock pot. Add a box of baking soda to the pot of water and bring to a simmer just below a boil and let your skull simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. I used a 2'x4' to wedge my antlers do that they did not submerge in the water.
  7. Remove the skull from the water and remove any remaining meat and cartilage using picks, pliers, and a steel brush off you have one available. Just be careful not to gouge the skull.
  8. At this point you can optionally remove the ear bones by prying them out with a flat head screw driver. This will remove a good chunk of meat that can be hard to get to any other way. Some folks like the look with the ear bones but it's entirely up to you.
  9. Place the skull back into the simmering water for 25 to 35 minutes. While the skull is simmering, fill a large cooler or tub with hot water (as hot as your hands can stand to be submerged in) and squirt a lot of dawn dish soap in.
  10. Remove the skull from the pot and immediately submerge it into the water dish soap solution. Using an air compressor, submerge the skull and air nozzle and spray over the entire surface and into all cavities of the skull. This simulates a pressure washer and the dish soap helps to de-grease the skull while also removing the bits and pieces of hard to reach meat.

Some folks will use a pressure washer instead of steps 9 and 10, but I prefer this method as it removes the grease which can cause the skull to yellow over time.

  11. Let your skull dry over night (or set it in front of a space heater for a half hour or so) to ensure its dried thoroughly.

At this point your skull can be mounted if you are satisfied with the appearance. The remaining steps are my preference and help with the cosmetics only.

  12. Bleach your skull. You can order these products off of Amazon (links below), but I just go to the local Sally Beauty Supply. Make sure to wear gloves, eye protection, and a mask for this part as the bleach mixture can be relatively strong and caustic. Tape off the antlers with masking or painters tape to the brow tines in order to protect the antlers from the bleaching mixture. Mix Salon Care 40 Volume Developer Creme with Salon Care Quick White Powder Lightener until it's roughly the consistency of a milk shake and then paint the skull and cavities with the mixture. I used an old tooth brush to cover the inside of the brain cavity and dumped some extra in their along with the nasal cavity.

Once the skull is entirely covered, wrap the entire thing in Saran wrap and place in front of a space heater. The heat is necessary to activate the bleaching agent. Heat the skull for about an hour, rotating every 10 minutes or so to ensure even heating.

While the skull is heating, prepare a new cooler full of hot water; no soap this time. Once the skull had been heated, cut the Saran wrap and submerge the skull to the base of the antlers and use your air compressor to bubble the surface and cavities again to remove the bleach and clean the skull.

Let the skull dry thoroughly. As the skull dries out will lighten up, but if you're unsatisfied with the color you can repeat the cleaning process as needed.

  13. After the skull has dried you should have a beautiful euro mount ready to go. This last step is a personal preference, but I usually take a cherry or colonial wood stain, dip a rag in it and rub the antlers down to darken them back up. BE CAREFUL TO NOT DRIP THE STAIN ON THE NEWLY BLEACHED SKULL.

This also brings out a lot of unseen character in the antlers. Let the stain set for 10 minutes or so and wipe them down with a clean dry cloth.

Now you should have a beautiful skull with a nice, dark rack ready to mount. My mount of choice is the Walnut Hollow Country Solid Wood Deluxe Euro Skull Display Kit from Amazon.

My hair is naturally very dark brown, and I've been using red dyes forever (the "ginger" kind of red, not the dark cherry one), and I've tried almost everything to keep it red. Let me share some of my experiences. This is going to be a long post so bear with me.

  • My experience with red is the following: it is VERY hard to maintain bright and colorful, and it also hard to remove! Figures!. There's a reason why they call this color the one that requires most maintenance. I have also done this mostly by myself, or when I started, with the help of my mom. If you're new at dying, it is best to get a friend to help you or if you can (and want) afford it, a specialist. It takes a while to be proficient at dying your own hair, specially considering you can't watch the back of your hair. Get handheld mirrors!

  • I started with a regular chemical dye, the kind you buy in shops. No bleach. Obviously, it doesn't get to the color you see on the box, but it was a close one.
  • After several dyes with the same product, the hair kept looking more and more like the one in the box, since it didn't have to "compete" with dark hair anymore. I'd dye my hair every month or two months, depending on how long I wanted to deal with dark roots haha.

  • Every recoloring, I would try a different brand. Different brands offer different types of dye and chemicals, and some of them might work better on your hair. I tried around 5 or 6 until I found the one that I was happy with and stuck with it.This is the one I ended up liking and using for the longest time. It could be different for you though.

  • I've also tried "alternative" methods to keep it shiny. One thing that I learned, is that nothing can dye your natural hair better than a chemical dye, because it totally changes the color of the hair. But other products can help enhance red. I tried henna for a while. Note that this is not the henna you buy in normal stores, but special henna for tinting skin. It comes with nothing else but plant extract. A good henna shouldn't come with any extra chemicals, because they ruin your hair, specially dyed hair. The henna from the store I linked is really good, and it worked for me. The results: BRIGHT SHINY RED. I loved it. Under the sun, it would look fantastic. Henna won't turn your dark brown hair red though. It will only give it red highlights. So it is not useful for recoloring but it is to keep your red bright. I'd keep recoloring my roots with normal dyes. I never had a problem with mixing it with henna. My hair didn't fall off or anything haha. I also tried WaterWorks but it didn't made much of a difference. Henna is by far my best result.

  • After 3 or 4 years of dying my hair red, it eventually started to get brassy and weak. At that point I reverted to my original color (I actually dyed it black since the brown dye was "eaten" by the red and it just faded after a bit haha) and I let it grow out, giving the hair a chance to grow untouched so it could get healthy again. And after two years I went back to red again. Right now I'm about to start the "healing" process again.

I hope my long post helps you in any way, and if you have any specific questions, please ask me!

as far as i know, there are no permanent dyes for unnatural colors like green. i've gone as far as to consider dyeing my hair with indigo (a plant-based permanent blue/black dye) and then bleaching it, which i hear turns your hair a lighter greenish color, lol.

for mere mortal dyes, special effects, ion color brilliance, and pravana are some of the longer-lasting brands - special effects used to have "sonic green" which was THE perfect color imo but it's nowhere to be found online now. ion has a teal which is pretty similar to your green, actually. pravana has a green but it might be a little too warm for your taste. of course you could mix pravana's green with a dab of their blue, or something to get that perfect color.

ion and pravana will last much, much longer than directions, punky color, and manic panic (i've seen a video of someone who had ion's blue in their hair for a year and couldn't get it out with bleachings >_>). you'll have to weigh the pros and cons - you seem like you're fairly certain you want the color for a long time, though. (but keep in mind that you might get tired of the color before it fades, that jobs might require you to have "professional" hair, etc.)

green washes out fairly quickly (relative to other colors) but it's hard to get rid of completely, so you should remember that when you dye. if / when you get sick of it you'll have to dye over it or get some color remover or clarifying shampoo.

but anyway, before dyeing make sure you do a strand test with the dye first, to check if the color comes out okay on your hair. if it doesn't come out so nice you might have to bleach it (which you should go to the hairdresser for, unless you're prepared to spend a chunk of time researching how to properly bleach your hair... ;-;)

i think for your initial run you could dye over your natural hair, and see what you like and dislike about the color (how fast it fades, how the color looks, HOW MUCH IT GETS OVER EVERYTHING YOU LOVE AND CHERISH...) and then decide whether you should bleach or not. removing leftover color is probably easier on you and less damaging than bleaching your hair for a color that doesn't end up the way you want it.

if you do bleach, you can leave the dye on for longer than the instructions state (i slathered mine on and went to bed) and it'll end up more vibrant and deeper. if you mix green with black it probably won't turn out quite the way you want it and has the risk of going muddy (though a lot of semi-permanent blacks are just really, really dark greens so it might give you nice results - i would do a lot of research on the type of dye you used if you went that route).

if you go to a hairdresser and you specifically want alpine green, you can take the dye with you and ask if they'll use that. and plenty of people go to hairdressers for semi-permanent colors, don't worry. it can definitely lead to some gorgeous results but of course that varies depending on the hairdresser. i know i keep saying this but research is key!!

anyway (i swear i'm almost done), to keep your hair from fading very quickly: wash your hair in cold water; use sulfate-free shampoos, if possible; avoid styling your hair with heat; avoid too much sun exposure; and add a bit of dye to your conditioner to keep your color touched up! that's all, phew!

(AND here are two good resources for the dyeing process: x x)

Hey! I’m a fellow natural redhead. I’ve colored my hair more times than I can count so I thought I might be of some help to you. I’ve never been good at pinpointing what shade of red my hair is, maybe more coppery than auburn, so hopeful this will still be helpful.

I find that natural red hair is pretty accommodating to pink and red shades, but purples and blues tend to wash out quickly. When I used to color my hair, it was always 10x more vibrant when I bleached it beforehand. Without bleaching your hair, you won’t probably won’t have a super vibrant color, unless you’re doing a dark purple, which would still look really nice.

The only color brand I’ve ever used for “unnatural colors” has been Special Effects . It’s always worked really well, the color is super vibrant, lasts forever and is made using vegetable dye so it won’t harm your hair.

I can add some pictures of my natural color, as well as pictures of it bleached with pink/purple over it and red/pink over my natural color, if that will help to give you an idea of what to expect. Unfortunately I never did a full head of purple hair, almost always went for pink.

That's so great of you to want to treat your daughter! I agree with /u/hamzter247; Bleaching should be avoided, but with that being said... I think you could still do an ombre type thing on your own! I did my hair a few times using pravana vivid colors, which I found to be better than manic panics. You can buy them on amazon. I used violet, blue and green but obviously there are other colors :) My hair was a bit darker than your daughters, so I ended up bleaching it but maybe another pic might help for inspiration? Pic of original hair. Good luck!

u/starsspinningdizzy · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

Adore African Violet turned blue on me too...apparently it's something that happens a lot. Maybe try to fade it more quickly by shampooing with clarifying shampoo in hot water and then go over it with a more pink based purple like Adore's Purple Rage (I've never used that specific color personally but I am a fan of Adore in general).

I had good luck with Pravana Chromasilk Violet (https://www.amazon.com/Pravana-ChromaSilk-Vivids-Violet-3-0oz/dp/B001K6CPYC) in that it turned a very pretty and saturated blue-based purple on me. BUT that is also the worst bleeding I have ever experienced, pillows, sheets, towels, for weeks afterwards so be warned. my Pravana hair here: http://imgur.com/a/nkjvW (note: in that picture my hair wasn't fully bleached, more highlighted and bleached ends so there's still some brown. if it had been fully bleached it would have come out an even brighter richer color)

u/taylor-in-progress · 2 pointsr/ftm

If you want to do this I'd use dye that's made for facial hair, so it won't dye your skin too. I bought this but haven't used it yet. I am pretty sure there are drugstore brands as well.

REFECTOCIL COLOR KIT- Light Brown Cream Hair Dye + Liquid Oxidant 3% 1.7oz + Mixing Brush + Mixing Dish https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007US0CEY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_y9YBwb25551HY

It's going to depends on how much hair grows there though. I'm about 10 months on T and I grow a full mustache, the hair is just light colored and hasn't become dark / terminal yet. If the hair is more patchy or super short it is less likely to work.

u/release_the_kitties · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I had my hair dyed bright red at a salon and I think she used this (they also have purple and other bright colors): http://www.amazon.com/PRAVANA-ChromaSilk-Vivids-Keratin-Protein/dp/B008MBWEP8 It's really vibrant and lasts ages since it's permanent. That said, if you think you might get tired of it something like special effects might be better? This is all coming from someone who has never done purple so take my advice with a grain of salt :)

u/NachoCupcake · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

It's definitely a process and you should have it done by a pro, especially for the first time!

My solution for having to maintain lavender was to color it a deep purple, Pravana Violet to be specific, and it faded really gracefully until it ended up at a pretty silver/lavender.

I loved that color so much and I'll probably go back to it as soon as my employment situation allows!

u/slowmotionforall · 1 pointr/curlyhair

I may be incorrect (someone correct me if this is terrible advice), but I believe you can just add Ardell Red Gold Color Corrector to your conditioner as an alternative.

For curly hair it's not recommended you use shampoo at all. I personally have stopped using shampoo and only use a cleansing conditioner on my scalp from time to time, and it has made such a vast improvement on frizziness/curl structure. So I think if you can mix in the color corrector with your sulfate/silicone free conditioner, that would be a better solution.

Edit: After reading through some reviews/more info online, I think if you mix some of this corrector in with a deep conditioner and use it as a sort of mask for ~30 minutes, it helps reduce brassiness by a lot. You can repeat occasionally until all brassiness is removed. Not sure how effective it would be if you just mixed a whole bottle with your bottle of conditioner, but maybe you can try out various methods and report back!

u/anacabana · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

My sister did my hair but we left the bleach in my hair for probably a little over an hour. My hair turned a very light blonde in places where it had never been bleached before and a sort of orangey blonde where I had previously done highlights. She then put in Splats blue envy and we left that in for a little over 45 minutes. I'm really pleased with how bright it came out. I've never had it be this true of a blue. Luckily my hair didn't get damaged and its still really soft.

u/SourGrape_Snape · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

Ya, roots are a PAIN.
What I did with my purple is throwing chunks and streaks and varying sizes all over, and did a solid block underneath, but stopped with plenty of room before I reached the top of my hair so that you could see where the chunks met my scalp, and I didn't have to worry about roots at all!
Plus, it created this cool effect where the lavender mixed in seamlessly with my blonde, and the contrast almost made my hair look silver!
Lavender can fade pretty quickly, but it's not that hard to touch up once you get the color in, and I found that the purple shampoo I use to maintain my blonde actually preserved the purple WAY longer than any actual color protection products I've used!
Edit: I accidentally a word.
Edit 2: This is the product I'm talking about. It's described as a "lathering toner" but it's essentially a temporary color-depositing shampoo. It will probably cool down your natural hair a bit and eliminate some of the more warm tones. There is one for warm blondes too, but this one will preserve your purple if that's the route you decide to take.
Advertised as sulfate free, but it does a few sulfate "cousins" in it. However, it's much less drying than any purple shampoo I've used before, contains moisturizing ingredients, and it's made in the US. It can be a bit drying, but I only need it once a week, and I follow it up with a deep conditioner and that usually counteracts any dryness.
WARNING: If you do purchase this, don't use it too often, or leave it in too long, because it WILL turn all of your hair purple. Very temporary, it will come out in only 1 or 2 washes if that happens (although sometimes I do it on purpose because the color it turns is very pretty)

No need for the $40 products! Shimmer Lights is a great toner. The shampoo would dry out my hair a bit, though my hair is super bleached. If you run in to that problem, just use lots of conditioner after, or switch to the Shimmer Lights toning conditioners. Currently I use John Frieda toners because I like the scent better.

I also discovered these corrector drops that I mixed in the last time I did my roots. It really helped. I believe they can be mixed with regular shampoos and conditioners as well.

u/meowwornever · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I actually use Pravana
I've been dying over my purple for about three years now - so it sticks pretty good even when it starts to fade, since there's so much purple in it now. But the Pravana works great!

u/Thedapperpappy · 1 pointr/beards

The secret to all of my Santa bearded wonder lies here...This stuff is great. One bottle has gotten me about five or six uses out of it. Easy to put on, easy to wash out. It is a stage makeup, suggested to me by a friend.

u/UnicornToots · 4 pointsr/breakingmom

Back in the day, I used the red version of Splat hair dye at home to dye my hair bright red. I have very dark black-brown hair and it came out great, and was easy to do.

u/m3lm0 · 1 pointr/breakingmom

Ion color brilliance semi permanent. I used it on my four year old two months ago and it's almost completely faded, which is not bad considering it was freaking magenta
Edit:it bled for less than a week so use pillow protectors if she's fond of sleeping with wet hair :)
Additional edit: Use petroleum jelly on the hairline and tops of ears, whatever color you use, no need to for stained skin.

u/thisisfineee · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

When I had silver hair, this was the best product that got me to silver and was easy to use. I recommend it over salon dye.

u/Teejsaurus · 3 pointsr/ftm

It's this stuff! It has somehow stayed a really nice color this whole time since first dying it. I had used mostly manic panic before, with some pravana here and there, but both of those always seem to fade pretty fast for me, but this has stayed really nice.

u/ashthehuman · 4 pointsr/GirlGamers

I have had tons of different colors of hair, including purple, green, and blue. Honestly, every time i've gotten my hair dyed at a salon, it gets on EVERYTHING. However, when I do it myself (I get the dye from Sally's) it stays on my hair perfectly fine. I've just learned how to dye my hair myself. I use pravana and directions.

u/3_Marketeers · 2 pointsr/Hair

So I did soft smoky amethyst last year and remember the struggle. My hair is light so the color fell out in like two days. Literally. Now I just keep my hair blonde, but to keep it from getting brassy, I mix Pravana Chromasilk Vivids in Violet into my conditioner once a week or so and it really helps! It only takes the tiniest (half a pea sized) amount to get what I want out of it, but if you want vivid, this may be your product. I gave up on purple shampoo because I just think it straight up doesn't work for me. This stuff is pigmented enough to perma stain my shower walls, so hopefully it will give you what you want!

u/so1id · 6 pointsr/malehairadvice

I don't really have a routine - I've grown out the top to be able to slick it back without any product. I've been /r/nopoo for 1.5 years so the oils help keep it in place for the most part.

I just got a haircut and kept the sides short enough for the hairs to barely start sticking out like a porcupine (common Asian hair problem). I try to shower at night and sleep on the sides of my head to keep the hair from sticking out. Otherwise, the magic mohican help keep the sides in place after showering.

u/HighOnBooty · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I use Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids in silver and its amazing! Its a dye but its not hard on your hair, and I mix it half and half with conditioner to get a light silver. If you use it straight out of the tube its like gunmetal grey. I've tried toners in my hair to go silver, but those usually wash out within a week.

u/danicalifornia530 · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

I have very close to your natural color hair and I use
Schwarzkopf Professional Blond Me Premium Lift 9 - 15.8 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZPHWMG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_wpVVDbT6V81S4

With their 20vol developer with great success and little damage. I only have to leave it on my roots about 30 mins covered and I get probably 7 to 8 levels of lift. I won't use anything else now.

u/altered_rain · 1 pointr/HairDye

My favorite lightner is Blonde Me by Schwarzkopf. The developer contains Argan Oil to reduce damage. https://www.amazon.com/Schwarzkopf-Professional-Blond-Premium-Lift/dp/B003ZPHWMG/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=schwarzkopf+blond+me&qid=1572894249&sr=8-4

Vol 20 should suffice.

Since you're blonde already, it doesn't need to stay on super long. I don't think you're going to need a toner. But talk to a Sally Rep in case you don't get to the blonde you want. Be sure to deep condition!

I use a big headband and put it around my head for 30 minutes or longer after taking a shower. I tried it after learning of the magic mohican.

Works pretty good!

I do it myself! It's pretty easy. I use this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CCYN798/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (find the right color for you, of course)

Ion Color Brights in Magenta. My hair is actually a sort of pink-purple ombre thing, but that's the pink I use and the color is so perfect.

u/prettylittlefox · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I used the blue and I wash my hair in cold(ish) water every three days. For shampoo I use KMS California's color vitality and conditioner is KMS moist repair. If I could, I would just wash my hair in the sink every time so I don't have to torture myself haha.

I want to dye my hair green and I'm using Punky Color in Alpine Green: https://www.amazon.com/jerome-russell-Punky-Color-Alpine/dp/B0011UQ0JI

I used it before for a turquoise streak and a pink streak on one side. Loved it. Not bleaching it this time so I hope it looks okay.

> your best bet is to do a bleach bath and a coconut oil treatment

I did read about putting a lot of coconut oil into your hair for a few hours and into the bleach treatment because it prevents damage, so I will do that next time then. However, what is a bleach bath? Is that just bleaching it again? If so, how long should I wait? It's healthy and strong now, still, but I want to keep it that way.

Is this the Lady Toner you're talkinga bout? And is this the dye you're talking about?

I found this reddish purple that says it's permanent? But your stylist could probably do a better job than a box dye so I would recommend speaking with her and seeing what are your options if you decide to go permanent. I could totally be wrong and that color could be permanent so don't lose hope! We can make this gorgeous color happen 😍 or dye trying!
Also don't stress over fading too much cause darker colors tend to take longer and purple fades prettily. Some of my favorite colors were after a few washes and some fading.

u/weeezus · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Not a brunette so YMMV, but if you are looking for a purple toner to use in the shower I am obsessed with Blonde Brilliance, you can also get it at Sallys. I am a platinum ash blonde who has hair that pulls warm/yellow, and this is the best toner/shampoo I have ever used (and I've tried tons).

1000 Hour Eyelash & Brow Dye / Tint Kit Permanent Mascara (Blue Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FAANC8W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ymCyCbV5ZD55N

It lasts well. I've had it on about two weeks so far and it's been good. I was told blue black is for fairer people and natural black is for people who have dark hair and perhaps don't burn as easily. I will note that the price went up. It was about $13 when I got it.
The application is a little uncomfortable as it kinda stings your eyes a bit and I chose to do one eye at a time. It also stings for a small amount of time after you take it off. Nothing horrible.

Godefroy Professional Tint Kit, Light Brown, 20 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CCYN798/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cqCyCbPF2K5WH

This is what I use for my brows as they are super blonde. I actually really need to do them again. Again, the price went up and it was $16 when I bought it.

Sorry for crappy links I'm on mobile.

Bam and Bam! Now let everyone admire your dashing new looks with this!

u/gingerspeak · 7 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I used this product. It comes with everything you need in the kit - even the angled brush for application. You mix up the powder color and the developer, and apply to your natural brow shape (I wouldn't go outside the natural hair). I bet if you were going for very very natural look you could use a spoolie. I have red hair and used the color light brown, so I only left the mixture on for 45 seconds. Then wipe off. My advice is do less time than you think at first - you can always go for another round if it's too light.

Current eyebrows here. Don't have a before pic - but they were invisible blonde. Got sick of filling them in. They aren't an exact match for my hair color but close enough! Package says results last 6 weeks, but I'll probably just redo them when they start to look too light. Hope this helps!

Is this the same stuff? What color is your natural hair? How long do you have to go before you redye?

I used Special FX in college with bleached hair but I think my days of bleaching are far gone. At the same time I don't have the time to touch up every couple weeks.

I did some researching myself because I was interested and I think this is the one she was talking about

Hair dye!

Make sure when you get your tv that the colors and such don't alter when viewed from different angles.

It's definitely worth a try. I'm not a stylist so I can't give you a guarantee or anything, but you could do a test strip underneath just to see how it goes. You can get Pravana on amazon.

-Toner - (http://www.amazon.com/Wella-Color-Charm-T18-White/dp/B000CSYYZM) & 10 volume developer

Proper bleach application will be really important in this or else the result won't be even.

u/MizChizzo · 2 pointsr/tifu

Cant believe no one mentioned Pravana

Also Hairstory over traditional shampoo/ conditioner. Although I've found that bleaching my hair once a month takes care of my oil problem.

I had gray hair before. You need to bleach your hair 2-3x until it's very pale yellow. And then you either use a toner (I used Wella) or a dye (I used Pravana Vivids in Silver the second time). Wella will look more ashy platinum blonde and Pravana will actually look gray. Wella will sting your scalp btw.

Don't leave Wella on for too long or your hair will turn lavender. And don't color if your hair is not that light yet because it will turn greenish gray.

This purple lathering toner changed my life when I used to be blonde

What I meant was the tinting kit will last a whole year. So far, minehas lasted 3 weeks and it took two minutes to do. This is the kit I got: Godefroy Professional Tint Kit, Light Brown https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CCYN798/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_pJyIAbF9DYA6E
