I've used chlorella and spirulina both for years, never had any sort of problem. The tastes is most people's concern. I really like it at this point. When I try a new brand, I'll take a couple of teaspoons and dump it in my mouth and eat it to get the full flavor.

Nutrex spirulina has great quality control standards. I've gone through quite a bit of it and love it.

Starwest botanicals chlorella is what I've used and really like it.
