I flash the OTA almost every month, and I'm using a USB 3 cable on a USB 3 port, sounds to me like something you have is defective. But not the device in general.

Edit: here's the cable I use to flash images https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01809N39W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_wdnbBbYGG1HW5

I've looked for the same thing. Some Reddit users said this one works:

I myself have gotten used to tucking the original long cable under the keyboard already.

We've had this discussion on this Sub previously and after some back and forth and testing, we discovered that you need to have a micro-USB OTG cable. It seems that the OTG cables for USB-C only intend for the Phone side (USB-C) to be the host instead of the controller side. So most likely you will need a micro-USB to USB-A OTG cable followed by a USB-A to USB-C cable.

I use the following two things:

Yes, I have ordered several that didn't work. This one does (as the interconnect between the two boards). The main cable doesn't seem to be as picky

Hopefully this works for you, my disclaimer is that I can't promise that it works for others the way it does for me.
