I have one after any workout (usually a run) longer than 45 minutes. It helps me not get so hungry while I'm making dinner after I get back from my workouts! :) I really like Tera's Whey (the sweetener is stevia, overall sugar is < 2g, protein is 20g) with a coconut/almond milk blend as the base. I think you can use water, but it's creamier with some sort of milk or milk alternative, which I like better, myself. Amazon's price is pretty high (I usually find it in my local grocery for < $20), but link is here! I think you get ~24 shakes out of it? So it comes out to < $1 per shake in the end.
