Man, why am I always 17 hours late for these things?

Been playing Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. It's amazing. I can't believe I'd never heard of this game before. Found an Artifact today that made me gain random mutations but also let me make trees grow in a radius around me whenever I "activated" it. Makes me feel like friggin' Hashirama. Also working on a second game for my ex-Lab Technician character after she escaped her blasted-out laboratory post-Apocalpyse. Unfortunately(?) due to her experiences during her Lab escape she's also now mostly a heavily armed Bionic Rat now... which is actually pretty neat!

Unfortunately, I'm at the outskirts of a megacity and the zombie population is insane. I'll either have to retreat back into the relative quiet and safety of the sewers and the Labs beneath it and fortify down there, or risk taking over one of the buildings up above instead and foraging that way. This game is so cool.

I can't believe MHA is already done. I'm already drooling for the next Season. I wonder when we'll get to see the Power of Gun, though? Probably a good long while.

Missed the SCVI network test, but I don't really feel bad about it, which is probably blasphemy given that I'm a die-hard SC fan ever since Soul Blade and Soul Calibur in the old arcade days. I've been tiding myself over by catching up on videos from Aris and Max (great) and Floe (trash) in the meantime while I wait for the release in a week or so. Still haven't decided whether I'm getting it for the Uno or my PC. Probably both, though my PC is getting a little long in the tooth, it can play T7 just fine, so I imagine SC6 won't be that big of a deal. Plus, I can use my geriatric SCV arcade stick on my PC, which I can't do on my One without a frickin $40 adapter. Stupid Micro$haft and their non-backwards-compatible peripheral schemes. Arcade sticks don't just grow on trees!

Groh looks sick, and I'm itching to try out Mina. Taki losing PORC mostly negates her from the roster for me, which sucks considering she was a main for me for a long time. Ivy looks just like the SC2 long-range version of herself with even more added style, so I'll probably use her at some point. Can't wait to go 100% anime with my stupid CaC's. Hoping they get cool energy hair like Groh when you pop Soul Charge.

It's also October, the beginning of my favorite time of year, and I've started my weekly Moviethon with The Blackcoat's Daughter, which I'd heard about but had never seen. It was a slow, slow burn, but actually quite well done. Very high on the creep factor. I enjoyed it. I haven't decided what's next, though. I think I'll try a few films this weekend, but I'm not sure whether I'll go for more scary stuff or rely on the ol' 80's gorefest favorites. We'll see.
