Hello, would you like to make them yourself?

I bought one of these years ago at a pampered chef party. I love it. I actually prefer to put in pizza toppings (pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, chopped pepperoni) and then toast it.
That sounds like a good mix to me. I also go with 2 bottles of electrolyte and 1 water to start. I just stick with standard Powerade/Gatorade type stuff and it has always worked for me. I try to get one bottle of electrolyte down per hour and about half a bottle of water per hour. Once I'm through what I started with, I just use on course stuff (Perform, or I guess possibly Gatorade in the future) since I have a pretty tough stomach. I also carry a couple salt sticks with me just in case. I rarely have cramping problems, but the one race where I did I really wished I'd had one.
SOLID FOOD!!! If you try to get by on only gels then you're going to be a sad panda. I think this is the toughest thing to get advice on. Everyone has their own tactic here and it's really just what works for you. I like to go with Uncrustables PB&J (make your own!) as well as applesauce packets on the bike because digging into a Clif bar while riding never seems to work well for me. I stash a couple in my special needs bag just in case I feel I need it, though. It's important to nail the nutrition on the bike, because you won't be able to get as much down in the run.
You can make the same texture yourself using a little handheld sandwich press thingy. We've had the same one in our family since I was a little kid, perhaps longer (sorry, I don't study my family's sandwich making history). They probably still sell them
EDIT: Here it is. Not sure if ours was the same brand, but it looks the same, and makes a similar looking sandwich http://www.amazon.com/The-Pampered-Chef-Seal-1195/dp/B0016A680E

Pretty sure it was made with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016A680E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xumLybR4JEFBV
The bread doesn't look like the right kind for the standard PB&J
Don't question my devotion to crustless sammiches.
Get one of these instead of paying like 80 cents for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
