Sims 4 is pretty pricey to have as just a building simulator. Especially since the base game has fairly limited choices, and you'll probably find yourself wanting some expansion/game pack for more content. Modthesims does have a lot of great custom content though.
If you decide to, you can buy game codes on Amazon and save a bit compared to buying through Origin. The base game is $40, and some of the expansions are discounted too.

There are two different versions for preorder on Amazon. Limited Edition and the Premium Edition I have no idea on what the differences are going to be. But I kind of oddly want the premium even though it's nearly twice the price. o.o;
