Also if you buy skinny jeans and like the aesthetic of straps
Like this for example,

My friend used to go to the fabric/craft stores and just buy clips/d-rings and straps or fabric to make straps and just make them ourselves. Also we would do the same with butt flaps, and then put a band patch on the butt flap. And sewing on zippers too

Idk what your style really would be but the prices on those pants now average $80-100+
If you buy $10 thrift store skinny jeans and then add DIY touches yourself you can DIY custom pants that are just as good if not better.

If you like studs or spikes you can also buy bags of them online and then add them yourself to clothing. Goths/punks/metalheads did it for rears. You had to do it because at first there were no brands of alt clothing, when they became a thing there wasn't a lot so you still did it to make something you can't buy, or just make it your own.

Now stuff is easy to get so no one DIY's much. But because of the raise in prices of clothing do to "popularity" etc I think more people are going back to DIY.

Even though I have more money then I used to as a teen I will buy thrift stuff or if I want a brand for boots or something I can't thift I try and find it used on eBay etc.
I don't even buy Killstar for clothing. I will buy them for a skull bag or something else I can't make or get on the cheep. I also find a lot of the women's clothing "cheesy" with statements and crap like that on them and so they aren't my style so much. Once again hope that helps
