Trislide I dont need to tape my nips or use any other antichafe stuff on my body anywhere anymore. Just this stuff.

Before: apply BodyGlide liberally to armpit areas.

During run: spray armpit areas thoroughly with TriSlide.

After: as soon as possible soap wash all that scum out in a warm shower.

Keep the hair, it helps reduce friction.

  1. Yes, I tried doing a heel-lock lacing, just to try it, for a local July 4 fun 5k. First and only time my shoe has ever come undone during a race. LOL. Full disclosure, a lot of my races are tri's, and so I often go with speed laces. Some just running races I'll use regular laces, some speed lacing. But never again with the heel lock!

  2. Body Glide. There's also a spray called Tri Slide. I'm a huge fan of it, because A) it won't melt all over when it's in your trunk in the middle of summer, B) it can be shared among friends, and C) it doesn't leave globs of gunk all over when you try to apply it when it's warm. And, in my experience, it holds up just as long as Body Glide.

  3. I will make the decision to pop or leave a blister for the same reason you're talking about--sometimes the presence of the unpopped blister is going to affect my gait much more than it will if I pop the damn thing, because I'll be very conscious of it being there. Just pop and go, IME.
