Something like these. I'm sure you can find them at a beauty supply store or something, too. I've rarely ever seen them at a drugstore, but sometimes you'll get lucky.

Well I use a straight clipper like this one.

Somtimes you just know it's gonna fly off so aim at the trash can, or put your hand near a plastic bag to catch it.
For toenails, it helps if you have a tiled bathroom floor. Then you can cut them before you clean the bathroom.
You're best option is to piece together a kit. I can not stress enough how important it is to get a good set of nippers. My SS got me the gundam planet nippers and they have been a revelation. I'd also suggest some straight edge toe nail clippers and some foam nail files, as well as a storage box for everything
