Absolutely. I picked it because it had plenty of room for a scope, and you can see it doesn't taper quite as much as traditional rifle cases. At 39", it easily fits a 36" rifle. Down side is that I couldn't find a merchant still selling it. I'm sure there are offerings very similar to it though. Edit: Some similar (check reviews and Q&A to verify fit with foregrip)

I have had it about a year and it has worked great. I intended to only use it temporarily but it seems to be holding up great for a budget bag I got for $30ish at a LGS when I picked up my AR
This bag is $32 and has a loop/tab to put a luggage padlock on. It won't stop a thief but it a locked container, meaning the gun itself doesn't have to be locked, just what you're carrying it in.

I really need and want this bag so I can transport my airsoft rifle without worrying about someone calling the cops on me. xD I haven't gotten it because I just jumped back into the sport and haven't had the chance.
