Nice! I still have the stock radio, I've been using a cassette tape to aux adapter and it's been working great. You could also do a radio adapter but I haven't tried that personally yet.
You could also put in a new radio unit, it's a pretty doable diy project.
I have a magnetic mount (and 2 magnetic popsockets so it doesn't wiggle at all) and just pop it on there and plug it in. Connects automatically with the receiver. I usually listen to music (or the Yankee game) on my phone through the receiver, and if the phone rings or I make a call it pauses automatically. I've never had to change the fm frequency (I use 87.9) and it's crystal clear. I've been using one of these for...3 years? Or more even? I love it.
