I personally don't plan to take shots beyond 300 yards, 350 yards max. I just don't want to push my ability that far and risk wounding an animal.

Anyway, that said, I think a good quality scope without parallax correction would be just fine. When I bought mine I had access to an employee discount and thus was able to easily justify the additional cost.

I have this one, but with parallax correction. Despite the modest price, it has been excellent for me, and you can't beat their lifetime warranty.
