The Spitfire 3x Prism Scope excels in close to medium range shooting applications where fast target acquisition and speed is of the essence. The prism based design allows for a compact optical system without sacrificing optical quality.Fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings offer bright views even in low light conditions. A selectable red/green illuminated reticle features five intensity levels to match the situational conditions. The reticle is etched directly on the prism ensuring shooters have an effective point of aim at all times regardless of illumination. A fast focus eyepiece adjusts the reticle into sharp focus.A multi-height mount system allows for 30mm and 40mm mounting heights. Dual picatinny rails mounted on the Spitfire allow the optic to be paired with an offset auxillary reflex sight. With shockproof construction, the Spitfire withstands recoil and impact while nitrogen purging and o-ring seals ensure fogproof and waterproof performance. I don't know of many by name, (I usually buy them and then forget what they are called) but I usually use prism scopes. I have a vortex spitfire 3x that has a regular always there black cross hair, and then also a green and red illumination option. Was MAYBE 400 ish dollars when i found it, (amazon link here https://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Optics-Spitfire-Prism-Scope/dp/B01AGXK8PM) but I don't quite remember. Comes with flip up scope caps, and has pic rails on the top on the left and right for lights or lasers or whatever your lil heart could possibly desire to put on it. Solid optic. survived use on everything from 9mm to 762x39, and a very peculiar stent of time when it adorned a Remington chambered in 30-06. (Don't ask why, i don't know, it just felt right at the time) and it stayed solid the whole time. Honestly? If you want ACOG style but you don't want expensive, you aren't going to get the signature look unless you buy garbage. I personally prefer russian optics, but that is just me. I think the Sig BRAVO4 4x30 is... well, pretty fuckin sexy. not gonna lie. Dunno about quality, I have no first hand experience, but that has an acog ISH look, and is a 4x zoom "combat" optic. Looks new and space age like the ACOG did when it came out, but even then you are looking at 1000 dollars. Sure, 500 less than the real deal, but still a huge chunk of change. Honestly, I think things like the vortex spitfire look better anyway. I am not a fan of how acogs look. Unpopular opinion maybe, but they are awkward looking to me. They seem like they should feel bigger and they seem small, but at the same time they feel big to me? if that makes sense? don't know. But check out vortex, check our primary arms, and be open to something that doesnt look just like an ACOG, because you will probably be disappointed otherwise because I can't think of REPUTABLE places that mimic the ACOG look and feel.
