Strange. I used a regular screwdriver to open the hhkb no issues. Just use the right size Phillips head. I have a lot of various sizes so it wasn’t a big deal. No idea what JIS or whatever is but that was not the case for my hhkb nor a Leopold Fc660c.

Obviously you don’t want to strip them but have you tried really pushing down and then turning and seeing? The screwdrivers you have seem kinda big can’t tell but those craftsman are the type I would use for home related stuff. I have an electronics kit for smaller screws - a set of Wiha screw drivers
