I think either of those would work fine. "Speed" ropes aren't just for double unders. My suggestion, buy both, try both, and return the one you don't like.
I haven't really used enough different ropes to give a good suggestion. I have a rope like this...

...its totally basic, I've probably had it for like 10 years now, although I haven't always used it regularly, but it's always done the job when needed.
