The big black wire definitely goes to the starting motor. The green wire from the stater in the 8 pin connector is the ground. The three yellows connect to the rectifier, they carry the alternating current generated by the stater. The white wire connects to the regulator. The rectifier should have a ground wire(green), and a red wire that connects to the positive battery terminal. From the regulator there should be a wire (probably black) that connects to the ignition switch. Because you no longer need the starter solenoid you can simplify the starter switch to simple on/off switch. I would also recommend upgrading to a combined rectifier regulator to keep the wiring simple. Here are a couple links to the rectifier regulator combo that I run on my 77 cb750 and also the on off key switch. As far as that big pesky black wire for the starting motor I just cut it off. You could remove the whole starter motor, but then you'll have to find a way to bolt the cover to it back to the engine casing, which is more hassle than it's worth. Don't give up, wiring takes a little effort, but once you know how everything works you'll be glad you took the time to learn it. If you decide to use the rectifier regulator I linked below, here's a wiring diagram to go with it.

NOTE: Everyone says to just hook up to the water spigot on the house. If there is too much waster pressure you will blow out the trailers plumbing. Get a water pressure regulator like one of these and save your plumbing in the trailer, especially an older one.
