If you complain enough to them, they will always ship you NEXT DAY FedEx or UPS. I sent them a letter stating if they sent me another package with LaserShip, they would lose my business. It's been 8 or so months, have not received another LaserShip package.

I can't guarantee they will do this for you, but I have been very happy since. Here was my letter to them...

>Hi,
>
>This is going to be one of those irrational emails which contains a threat (promise) and is most likely driven by emotion. Continue reading.
>
>My wife ordered an item for me (http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Naga-Special-Edition-RZ01-00280500-R3/dp/B004AM5RAW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347571607&sr=8-1&keywords=razer+naga), on Monday I believe. Not sure if you can look at her account, but it's the linked account "REMOVED" on my Prime account. I could have EASILY went to a local store and purchased this item, it's in stock at my local Fry's, Microcenter and probably Best Buy. I could have had and been using this item the same day she placed the order for it.
>
>I am absolutely LIVID that you guys use LASERSHIP to deliver packages to customers. They have to be the only thing worse than USPS. I am 100% holding you, Amazon.com Inc., responsible for their ineptitude to deliver a simple package to a corporate address. I complained about their practices in a previous conversation with one of your representatives and they had issued me a full refund and promised I would get my package. Two hours later, the package was on my desk.
>
>Here's what makes them inept at the service they provide; they deliver after 8 PM (as late as 9:30 PM) to a corporate office. How late do people expect an office building to be open for deliveries? We close at 6. This is the second time they have wasted two days to try and deliver my package after 8 PM. They even log their attempt as "BUILDING CLOSED". Why the frell would they try and deliver at the same time the next day?
>
>Incompetence, pure and simple.
>
>You send me something that I've ordered with Amazon Prime utilizing LASERSHIP again, I will never order from you again. I don't need an apology, I don't need an excuse. I need you to live up to your promise of your delivery dates for Prime products. It's the only reason I decided to purchase your service. Since using your service I have ordered at least 25 packages, if not 30, and I don't know how many my wife has ordered. There is nothing I can get on your website that I can not get on another or at a local establishment. I choose you because of the free 2-day shipping on Prime eligible products. I have a Kindle Fire (laying on a shelf somewhere) and I've tried out your VOD service, won't miss those either.
>
>Do you feel me? I can't be the only one with this complaint, and I won't be the last. Get rid of LASERSHIT and have me back as a happy customer that tells people how awesome the convenience you potentially add to ones life with your service.

Here was their response...

>Hello,
>
>I regret that this situation has been rapidly reoccurring with LASERSHIP. To state that this was an inconvenience on your end would be an understatement.
>
>We always try our best to meet your expectations but unfortunately, despite all our efforts, unforeseen circumstances sometimes occur that would prevent us in providing a satisfactory experience. I apologize for any trouble or frustration you experienced in this case.
>
>We did not intend, in any way, to cause you disappointment.

>Furthermore, I'm reporting this concern regarding the incident about LASERSHIP to the shipping department in our company--I know they'll want to hear more about your experience. >
>In order for us to rectify the situation as soon as possible, I hope you wouldn't mind me asking about the other orders that you received late or still haven't received yet that were shipped by LASERSHIP. To formulate our plan of action on this situation, we'll have LASERSHIP investigated so we can review their performance as one of our chosen carriers for the fulfillment of your orders. I'm working this summer to pick up a laptop before my semester starts at college. Just a few hundred more to go!

Edit: here's the link! I know it's not the most flashy laptop, but I'm super stoked to get this guy because I've been going through very cheap laptops that have been dying on me and it's been draining me (poor college student trying to support himself). But this seems to be the best deal I could find. I'm gonna get an SSD to replace the HDD to boost the speed and set up a clean windows 10. Super excited cause it'll be my first time working on a laptop (replacing the HDD and upgrading Ram... eventually). I'm studying Finance and IT so ive done some of this stuff before, but it'll be a first for me doing it on my own personal computer.

Edit 2: Sorry for the super long post, I'm just really excited to get this! I found this, which seems to be a newer model with an SSD already in it!

I agree with you on all counts. I call these "Incentivized" reviews.

In Amazon's TOS, it says you're allowed to get a product for free or at a discount in exchange for a review, but only if you disclose the relationship. While the "disclaimer" always claims it's an honest and unbiased review, the data shows otherwise. After examining nearly 5,000,000 reviews, here's what we're seeing in the data:

Reviews that contain a "free/discount" disclaimer (Incentivized): 4.74 Average Rating

Reviews that do NOT contain a disclaimer (Non-Incentivized): 4.38 Average Rating

Furthermore, the distribution of ratings looks pretty bad:

Non-Incentivized

1-Star: 4.8%

2-Star: 3.7%

3-Star: 7.4%

4-Star: 16.9%

5-Star: 67.2%

Incentivized

1-Star: 0.4%

2-Star: 0.8%

3-Star: 3.1%

4-Star: 16.0%

5-Star: 79.6%

So people who receive free products are 10x LESS likely to give a 1-star review. Yikes.

You may be thinking that the incentivized reviews are higher because only brands that believe in their products will send them off to users for review, and that's not what we're seeing. Time and time again, we see that the reviews for the exact same product are higher when the reviewer got the item for free. Check the "Incentivized Reviews" section of these example reports:

http://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B01AD2IJL6 (5.0 from Incentivized, 4.1 from Non-Incentivized)

http://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B00RH5I8U0 (4.7 from Incentivized, 4.3 from Non-Incentivized)

http://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B00H4IBD0M (4.5 from Incentivized, 4.2 from Non-Incentivized)

Here's what we're also seeing in the data - the emergence of power reviewers who have 1000's of incentivized reviews who pretty much ONLY give 5-star ratings. This is because the 3rd party companies who facilitate the exchange of products for reviews allow the brands to vet the reviewers before sending the product out. Obviously they want to only send the product out to reviewers who only give 5 star reviews. So if you give too many critical reviews, you're cut off from your supply of free or discounted junk.

Anyway, I could write a book on why these reviews are totally biased (which of course I'd sell on amazon and give away a bunch of copies for free or at a discount in exchange for reviews). But here's a bit more on the incentivized reviews test: http://reviewmeta.com/blog/incentivized-reviews/

u/djscsi · 2 pointsr/amazon

Here is one example:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0196JHYEK?psc=1#customerReviews

If you look at the end of the reviews, almost all of them are 5-stars and have some variation of this:

  • Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

  • Disclaimer: I received this product at a couponed price for my opinion

  • I did get this item at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review, however, all thoughts and ideas are my own.

  • I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.

  • DISCLAIMER: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own and based on my own experience using this item.

  • I purchased this item at a reduced cost in exchange for an honest review.

If you look at the "sponsored products related to this item" you will also note that there are many more listings of this same exact item, all with fake "brand" names and mostly with a huge amount of 5-star ratings from people who got it free and are giving their "honest" opinion:

Back in 2003 I ordered a LOGITECH MOUSE because it was free after rebate, but to qualify for free shipping I needed a filler item, and the cheapest one I could find was this 89¢ HOSE CLAMP. Every year since, Amazon has been sending me email mentioning that hose clamp, which is now over $4.

Here you go, it's the best you're going to get under $1000.

It comes with a 256GB SSD, and has space for a 2.5" SATA drive. And you can upgrade the RAM of course. It's got the new 6th gen i7, and the GTX 960M is a good mobile graphics card.

Yes, but it's not available through the Play Store. You need to download it through the Amazon App Store. Amazon Prime Video by Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N28818A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_udp_apa_Xo-RybXSVCB8V

Thanks for the reply! I tried what you suggested and requested these (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011UB9CQ/ref=gno_cart_title_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) but unfortunately the best they could do were these (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FEEY9A/ref=psdc_172541_t3_B001UE6I0G) which of course I rejected. They said the only option was to wait till they restock their product in about 3-5 weeks. I did however receive a month extension of prime as well as $5 credit.

I've ordered the Sony WH1000XM3 and Amazon says they are temporarily out of stock. How long does this mean I have to wait? Have others experienced the same thing with these headphones? I think they are pretty new so that probably why they ran out. Here is the link:

What are you looking for? Gaming? Multi-Purpose? I'd stay away from HP btw.

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Quad-Core-i5-6300HQ-Processor/dp/B015PYYDMQ

This laptop is excellent for gaming.

Of course, now I can't find a Prime example - murphy's law. But, here's a non-prime...

Here's the Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KYZYVN2/ref=twister_B01KYZYXJE?th=1&psc=1

And here's a screenshot of what I see with the message in red upper right.

Thanks in advance for checking on this for me.

Amazon keeps on displaying blank images in ALL of my browsers when I click on a product image to see what it looks like. Example here https://www.amazon.com/Legend-Heroes-Trails-Steel-Relentless-PlayStation/dp/B07JVCK516/ref=sr_1_5?fst=as%3Aoff&qid=1555354041&refinements=p_n_date%3A1249090011&rnid=1249087011&s=videogames&sr=1-5#

When you click on the image of the product, it shows a blank screen saying 360 view, related videos, images, and that is it

u/taliskan · 1 pointr/amazon

I see the same price as you listed from your URL for the main add to basket. However, below it I see the Other seller's for £64 (with free shipping in the UK):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B004CRSM4I/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

However, if I do a new search for the product it shows back at £64:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1412790086&sr=1-1&keywords=Corsair+CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9+Vengeance+8GB+%282x4GB%29+DDR3

Were you viewing other sellers by any chance? Odd.

u/bookchaser · 2 pointsr/amazon

Here's the first item on your list.

In the US, I'm told it's $184.99 or $332.22 (two different versions), shipped from an Amazon warehouse. The "250 OHM" version is listed as "in stock." The 8.5"Lx7"Wx4"H version is listed as "Only 7 left in stock."

Is every single item sold not available, or only certain items?

Amazon instant video is available for android, its just not on the google play market. Might be a conflict with google or something, but if you download the amazon app store, you can download it here.
