I doubt it will effect performance, but I'd be iffy for safety. Without a ground, I'm like 70% sure you'd be more likely to fry your PC in the event of an electrical problem.
You could try using a cheater plug and ground it using the prong, but I'd be iffy on that as a long term solution. Your best bet would be to either get a ridiculously long power cable or try to free up a plug.
anything like this will do. these are standard power cords. there is nothing special about the one that came with your Marantz; and there is nothing dangerous about using a longer one.
