Amazon all time low by $30. I don't really know much about them because I'm not a wireless guy or an audiophile of any sort, but I've heard good things, and the price seems crazy good.

Go to bottom for list of recommended Bluetooth headphones and their battery lives.

There aren't any confirmed sources, but it's honestly very very very very likely because there have been talks of Bluetooth beats earbuds that are stereo and completely wireless. You charge them in the carrying case wirelessly. Just pop them in the case and boom, it charges. No wires separating the earbuds either, completely wireless.

It's like a stereo version of the moto hint. I own a moto hint and the call quality is actually very nice and for mono sound it's not horrible. The mic picks up some noise since the entire thing is in your ear so it can't use bone induction, but I've never had an issue with people hearing me clearly, even driving 80 down the highway with the AC on.

You can find a sound cloud of a moto hint phone call.

Honestly, I think it's time to move onto Bluetooth. This will pressure other headphone manufacturers into making better Bluetooth devices and the sound quality is already there. A2DP can handle 320kbps and AptX can handle even higher. Both of which are higher quality than apple music streaming so you don't need to worry about a reduction in sound quality unless you're listening to lossless files in which case I AM sorry but you will have to use the lightning adapter. Even Sennheiser (spelling?) makes Bluetooth headsets than last 20+ hours to a charge. I've seen an $80 pair of headphones that last 28 hours to a charge. If you don't want to spend $80, get that LG headset that lasts 12 hours to a charge (personally tested on a road trip) and you can get them for like $45. It's like HSB-730 or something like that.

It's nice when I'm listening to a skype call at work at my desk and I can just mute my mic and go to the bathroom and keep listening without interruption. Everyone in my office uses Bluetooth headphones.

You don't buy a $700 iPhone because you know it's going to be future proof. You don't buy multiple hundred dollar headphones because they're going to last forever. Wires rip, wires wear, wires break, $100+ headphones are luxury items just like iPhones and luxury cars. It sucks when you buy a BMW six months before the new model comes out, but it happens in the luxury industry. You buy a $1k video card and it's obsolete within a year. It sucks, you get buyers remorse, but you move on and maybe don't buy $100+ headphones.

Now I'm also going to post my "Super mega Bluetooth mega post" so people have some idea of the sort of performance they can get from Bluetooth headphones/earbuds.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The "I hate recharging my headphones" mega post!

How long does the battery on Bluetooth headphones have to last to be good enough for you?

8-10 hours?: http://www.amazon.com/Inteloo-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones-PL-2060/dp/B0137PYO2Y/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

10-15 hours?: I used one of these to listen to music on a 1,200 mile road trip, I can personally attest to the long-ass battery life. Plus they're sweat proof.

http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Wireless-Earbuds-Battery-Waterproof/dp/B00PVRI0OK/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1452884122&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=eipc+bluetooth+earbuds

15-20 hours?: These are the headphones I use at work. They usually last about two and a half 8 hour shifts.

22-25 hours?: Oooh look! Sennheisers!

25-30 hours?: Only $80

Want to use bluetooth in an aux port in your car?: http://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Streambot-Bluetooth-Streaming-Smartphones/dp/B00MJMV0GU

Also, with A2DP and AptX, the quality over bluetooth is HIGHER than apple iTunes quality. 320kbps vs 256 kbps.

Listen to a song over google play music, or using a premium Spotify account, listen over a WiFi connection with "high quality streaming" turned 'on' with your BEST set of headphones.

What you're listening to is Bluetooth quality with A2DP. If that's not good enough for you, then you can still listen to your 1,411kbps lossless rips with a lightning adapter.

OR, save yourself $800 and DON'T buy an iPhone 7. It makes absolutely no difference to me.

Some Bluetooth earbuds also wirelessly charge while they're in their carrying case, like the moto hint.

I'm looking to replace my aging and worn out Sennheiser RS130 wireless headphones. I use them at my desk at work and they've been great, but I've had them for 8 years and they're falling apart.

Budget: $200-ish
Type: Around ear a must.
Connection: Wireless preferably bluetooth
Source: Laptop via bluetooth streaming Google Play and YouTube mostly.
Environment: Quiet office. I don't really need noise cancellation.
Past Headphones: Sennheiser RS130 Wireless which these will replace. At home I use Audio-Technica AD700X.

The most important factors for me are comfort and ease of use, and I'm willing to sacrifice sound quality. I need them to feel good all day long and I need to be to able to slap them on and off quickly without waiting around for my music to come back.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Bose Soundlink Wireless II. I've never owned Bose and I know they don't have a great reputation, but they seem to tick all the boxes I'm looking for. The V-Moda Crossfade and Crossfade 2 are other options, but are quite a bit more expensive and reviews seem to indicate less comfortable. I'm not against more money if the product is worth it, but they kind of seem like overkill for my needs. I don't need a super high quality experience and I don't think I'd ever use the wired functionality. I've also considered Sennheiser RS 165 and 175 as basically direct replacements for my 130s, but they aren't bluetooth and so offer less flexibility and portability. Even though I'll be using them 90% of the time at my desk, I wouldn't mind having the option to take them on the road. I've also checked out Sennheiser HD 4.40, Sennheiser Urbanite and JBL Everest 700, but the size of the earcups and the comfort level on those look to be lacking, but I could be wrong.

Are the Bose phones I'm looking at a good choice? Are there any other sets I should strongly consider? Are the V-Modas just so much better that it's worth the extra $50-$100 even if I'm not too concerned about sound quality?

u/kasoman · 2 pointsr/headphones

If you're looking for noise cancelling, then Bose is clearly the best brand to invest into. I found this pair that's fairly close to your budget, though slightly over, but for the most part would be worth the investment. There is a switch for both Bluetooth and noise cancellation, so this might answer all your prayers.

Congrats! She will need LOTS of your support, making her free time about 2~3 hrs per day would be the best gift you can ever give her for the next 2~3 years. If you don't know how to cook, wash the dishes, do the laundry, changing diaper, ... start to learn them LOL

Other than that, It depends on how much you want to spend:

- In the range of $300, I would definitely recommend a good wireless headphone (as other people mentioned already) like Bose QuietComfort. I've got one for Father's day two years ago, and that was the most useful gift I've got.Two points about headphones:
1- Even if you want to go with other brand, make sure to get the "Around the Ear" and not "Over the Ear", you will see the difference when using long hours.
2- Keep in mind some people (including my wife) are not comfortable with noise cancelling feature of the headphone and they feel dizzy or will have queasy or motion sickness feeling specially if they use it long time. You won't know it until she use it, but make sure you can either return or exchange the item. If that is the case I can recommend Bose SoundLink II.

- In the range of $500, I would definitely recommend a 30"x60" adjustable desk. There were numerous time, even if with having comfortable chair, I couldn't sit anymore! and I wished I could have stand up and continue studying! Don't go with smaller than 60" length since she has two monitors.

u/magickates · 2 pointsr/HeadphoneAdvice

Since you don't care about noise-cancelling, how about the Bose Soundlink AE IIs? I just got them about a month ago, and I absolutely love them. I discovered that I can't wear headphones with ANC because they make me motion sick, so these don't have any active noise cancellation, but they're around-ear and closed back, so they provide a decent amount of noise cancellation on their own. They're super comfortable, the build quality feels really solid to me, and the sound is neutral, which Bose is known for. My husband also has a big head, and he said they're comfortable for him as well. He's actually been taking them when I'm not using them instead of his Audio Technica ones. I highly recommend them. And they seem to be in your price range with free UK shipping from Amazon.

Edit: My reddit linking abilities need some practice.

Huh interesting, Happy Cakeday btw! I just found a Bose one on Amazon Canada for $229

https://www.amazon.ca/SoundLink-Around-Ear-Wireless-Headphones-Black/dp/B0117RGG8E/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=bose+wireless&qid=1565799770&s=electronics&sr=1-5

What do you guys think about this one? Wireless and noise cancelling, I might just get this.

u/Acigoth · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Well I'd need more information to really help you.
For example a budget, or what you'd be using the headset for (Gaming/music?).

Also how important is the headset to you?
Wireless bluetooth headsets generally aren't very good and have a lot of bugs and issues.

However there are quality reliable bluetooth headphones on the market. And you can buy a seperate mic if that's important to you.

A quick suggestion is the Bose soundlink wireless 2.
They are currently 270 dollars on amazon.

What about Bose stuff? Bought this beauty last friday and it's great. Not heavy at all. But to be fair, those are my first around ears, so I may not have the best judgement about weight. At least the sound is fantastic.

Sorry, should have been more specific, The Soundlink II headphones.

correction - found it - they use ii not two or 2. amazon link

u/SwagLordOne · 1 pointr/headphones

Budget - around 200-230$, a bit flexible with the budget, but not too much

Source - I will be mostly using them for listening music on my phone and occasionally on my laptop

Requirements for Isolation - Isolation I'd say "some". I like being disconnected from the world when I listen to a great song, but I also want to hear if an ambulance or a fire truck is coming my way. I will be mostly using my headphones when I am out in the city (walking or on public transport) or when I will be traveling.

Preferred Type of Headphone - On-ear, I dislike the way over-ear headphones look in my head.

Preferred tonal balance - I like bass but it's not everything I want in a pair, I also love to hear a smooth voice and have clear distinction between instruments.

Past headphones - Marshall Major 1, Sony MDR, Marley JH011 PS Positive Vibration (received as a gift)

Preferred Music - I love to listen to hard rock (guns n roses, acdc), hip-hop/rap (NWA, Nas, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Notorious BIG etc), some pop, classical music as well (mostly soundtrack from movies like lord of the rings).

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I'd love to have of course better sound quality, Bluetooth connectivity and I would like for them to be stylish.

Below are a couple of examples of what I have my eye on at the moment:

  1. Marshall Mid

  2. Bose Soundlink around ear

  3. Bowers & Wilkins P5

I love the design of the Marshalls, I once bought a pair of Marshall Major 1 headphones and they sounded amazing.

Bose soundlink I've listened to in a store once and it blew me away but I really do not like the design at all, they are a big too big.

And the bowers look pretty nice but didn't get the chance to hear them.

Another pair of headphones that I love for the looks and sound are the B&O Beoplay H6 2nd generation. But I don't like how they look on my head, they make my head look too big.

I am also open to other suggestions.

    Thank you.

Budget - max 250€
Source - Android Smartphone, Computer
Requirements for Isolation - Not necessary, but would be good to have.
Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Yes
Preferred Type of Headphone - Over ear
Preferred tonal balance - Balanced with a good bass.
Past headphones - JVC HA-FX1X-E Xtreme Xplosives for Android, Logitech G430 for my Computer
Preferred Music - I listen to a lot of different things, this is my current playlist
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Overall better sound quality.
Location: Germany

Would also be nice to be useable in the gym.

Other Information: I was in an electric store a few hours ago (german media markt) and I tryed a pair of headphones for a minute and had to go after that because my train was about to arrive. I had to pair them with my phone to test them and the linked device was the Bose AE2 SoundLink, they were really comfortable and sounded really nice to me. They were 329€ in the market tho and this is what I found on amazon, it doesnt say Ae2 tho, only around ear. I'm not sure if it is the one I tested. Maybe you guys know.
Something around the sound range of these would be very fitting for me.

u/20th_LVL_Wizard · 1 pointr/gifs
  1. Yes

  2. They have to option for wired or wireless, so double yes. I've experienced both.

  3. Audio Fidelity and 802.11x and 802.15x are apples and grapefruit... Feel free to correct me if your CCNA CCNP certifications are newer than mine or if you've been in the business longer than me.

  4. Bose doesn't fuck around with their quality. Maybe your off-brand 25$ sports buds are crap, but these are pretty fantastic.
u/Casiorollo · 1 pointr/HeadphoneAdvice

Alright, and yeah, the advertised battery life is usually a lot less with constant play, like playing music while doing homework or yardwork, but that's also what I meant but holding a charge. I would listen to a few hours of music, put it away in my backpack, and then listen to it a few days later for an hour or two, and repeat. I only ever had to charge them for about once a month.

But enough of that, in terms of noise-cancelking, I think these are a good buy within your price range and have plenty of reviews for you to look at and see any problems they might have. However, with that many reviews, I'd trust the 4 star rating.

Bose Soundlink connects to two devices. I connect it to my computer and phone or my iPad and phone.

I've got a pair of Bose SoundLink II for home and another set that stays at work. I wanted headphones that I could walk around while wearing. I bought the pair for work, and liked them enough to buy the second pair for home.
